Need a reason to keep it

The Supra value thing is a debate thats been going on here for years.

Limpsip + tug + go out for a drive in the Supra = happy owner

:rlol: :D

Aghhhh, I know I haven't been on in a while(maybe that has something to do with it), but I'm suddenly having strong desires to stop the single build, sell the Supra and buy a Z06 Corvette and desperately looking for reasons why I shouldn't(mainly because of the amount of money I will lose at a guess).

I know a couple of people on here have C6/Z06 Corvettes but can't remember there names and hoping they may chip in with some massive cons.

I think another reason is the real decline in the value of the Supra's, especially single ones, they seem to be going for a pittance now and I just have a feeling that as the price comes down, more get bought to rag round council estates which then push the price down even further, does anyone else have worries about the current Supra values?

Alternatively, feel free to tell me to lose the chicken poop attitude, man up, get on with it and drop the attention seeking post (or alternatively deal drugs for a year and have both :D).

Hi Marc, funnily enough I was thinking that I haven't seen you around on the forum for ages!! So you're thinking of selling?

I can tell you that from having an NA to a TT to nothing is....awful!! As johnny g said that once you sell it, you'll regret it and want to scratch that itch even harder next time...couldn't be nearer the truth!

I've wanted a Supra again from the moment I got rid of my TT and I'm finally getting another one in January! :D

I say keep it mate, you won't regret it...all you need is to do is look at your Supe and take her for a drive and your love will come back ;)

Plus as KamaSupra said....DB13 is coming up!! :D

Take a Vette for a test drive and actually see first hand if it makes you happier then a Supra. You will have your answer fairly quickly I think.

On depreciation front - worry about it when you come to sell. Time to enjoy cars is now. Before petrol becomes £2 a litre !

Already driven a Z06, put a bit of ZZ Top on the stereo and I felt like a pure bad-ass:d, loved the drive of it aswell, although was it better than the Supra in the 30 minuites I drove it for? IMO, Yes, is it better to live with? I don't know and is it better than a single turbo Supra? In stock form, probably no, once tuned, I don't know.

Everything feels good for 30 minutes... Wait are you guys still talking about cars?

I think they are good cars, though the 7 litre engine & driving on the left doesn't appeal to me living down in London. As most of the time it will be spent in the city & everytime I go into a car park or even the office I'll have to get out of the car!

I'd say it is a desirable car, proberley not as quick as a tuned Supra but looks wise it is a nice car. Maybe a car for when you move to the states?!

Well I spent most of last night in YouTube watching Supra Videos which has kept the selling demons at bay for now, think I may look at the Corvette again in 2014, will see how I feel after a year of being single tubby(hopefully in a position to have both).

:) Good call!

Corvette feels cheap because of their bodywork is plastic/fibre glass and they are common as pooh in the US almost like the subaru's in the UK. I have lived in the US twice now and the corvette never did anything for me, though if you are going that route, there is only one choice for me.... Dodge Viper....!
