Chris Bailey
Another one of my stupid questions but here it goes. Basically just wanted to know what's the difference between CR Turbos stage 1,2,3 hybrid turbos. Do stage 3 turbos have stronger steel internals so they are more capable of handeling more boost etc.
TT Paul
ive got basic refurb ones all mine are is steal internals, so guess stage 1, tell you what else i have is a set of jspec turbos no manifold, the ceramics are chipped due to removal perfect for refurb and car stays on road, also pay them cash and no vat and thier near me
Swampy442
Nothing to do with the strength, all to do with the size. Not handling more boost but creating more. Seriously, do a sewarch for hybrid turbos, read the disappointing stories, forget about it.

If they were more reliable i'd imagine alot of people would use them.

mellonman
okay cr turbos all 360 thrust bearing rebuild with ceramic (no warrenty) Stage 1= steel internals stage 2= compressor rebore and larger compressor stage 3= compressor and turbine rebore with larger compressor and turbine i had the stage 3 and they was bored out alot i was suprised how much posisble 10mm larger overal diamiter intake, this does come at a cost of lag and not much gain. IMO hybrids are not worth it , they can not hold more boost and stay relieable and if going stage 3 you need all the mods for a single turbo so you might aswell just save the £1,200 to put to you single turbo kit
