Gaz6002
This would appear to be one, from Scott's link; That just looks like a slow single turbo to me. Can't tell if there's an SC on there.

Gaz6002
Sounds like there is. I can hear it more at the start. It sounds a bit like it, but the performance tells a different story if you ask me. I don't get why you'd demo a SC by showing a vid of the turbo coming online anyway. The SC should be working at lower RPM and I'd expect it to be much more noticeable than that for it to be worth doing. Just IMO, of course. Yeah, he seems to be just touching the accelerator with his toe. Not the best video to show it!
Scott
That just looks like a slow single turbo to me. Can't tell if there's an SC on there. It's definitely a supercharged turbo, but iirc it didn't work very well. There was a thread on here and on supra forums about it. I don't remember the details, it might even have self destructed lol. Gaz6002
I know several people have tried it, but I've yet to see a successful attempt
tbourner
Does the SC pre-charge the turbo inlet? Or do they use the SC to spin the turbo, replacing the exhaust?
Scott
Does the SC pre-charge the turbo inlet? Or do they use the SC to spin the turbo, replacing the exhaust? From what I remember they were running in parallel. This is where the hassle comes from as it's not exactly easy to pair up an sc and a turbo lol. Blackie
As Scott came up with a ludacrus idea here's mine, running two independent turbo setups on a supra, say a 67mm for the road and normal driving and a a 80mm plus for drag use, all on switchable maps and solenoid valves. I know space would be an issue and quite costly to, but surely worth a crack. Here's my amazing art work, but I'm sure you get the idea!! http://i1105.photobucket.com/albums/h358/baileyjdm/4908bc7e.jpg So this is why you have been too busy to pop round?
