Wez
Hey All, Whats the best way to remove the rear hatch glass and the rear windows, should I order any replacement parts from Toyota before removing either or are the seals reusable? If anyone has the EPC exploded diagrams to help explain that would be great
RobUK
Might sound obvious but " carefully" the quarters are a bitch... Takes about 30 mins per quarter.... I did a summary of removal in another thread only a couple of weeks ago.... I'll go see if i can find it for u
Homer
Qtr's can be cut out from the inside using a very sharp blade, it takes some time! I guess the inner trim is already gone, so just slide the blade flat with the window all the way round. The sealant is about 1/2 - 3/4 inch wide so keep going round until the window comes out. I thought they were bolted in but looking at them earlier I couldnt see how, I have no interior so can access the back of them quite easily. Doh, forgot about the bolts The link from RobUK explains is very well though, so that at least answers part of your question I used a stanley blade with some insulation tape around one end, but it was a real fiddle, if you can get a better cutter it would make things far easier.
