downimpact
This is a bit of a newbie questions, but on an jspec tt manual infront of the air con radiator are hard pipes running from the passenger side and back, in S'ish shapes. Are these oil pipes/power steering? I've had to move them to fit a towing eye and they are now resting (layer of foam inbetween) against the air con pipes. are these going to get very hot? Potentially cause a problem?
Homer
They're the PAS cooler lines. Most of the FMIC kits relocate and shorten these so I can't imagine you'd get too many problems, so long as they have some cold air flow.
nevins
Power steering pipes mate , secure them up and you will be fine. Edit D beat me to it.
downimpact
Thanks both, yeah still in same location so plenty of cool air just trying to fit 4 pipes and the new towing eye through the same gap
nevins
If you remove the 10mm retaining bolt that goes into the chassis leg iirc you can relocate it a bit lower if need be mate. Just knock up a bracket out of a bit of ally or similar.
sideexitsupra
Why not fit the towing eye on the intercooler side instead?

Just knock up a bracket out of a bit of ally or similar. I've not re-attached it to the chassis leg, seems reasonably solid as I've moved the clip slightly at the front and it's pushed down by the towing eye. Plus knocking up a bracket is beyond my tool kit range
downimpact
Why not fit the towing eye on the intercooler side instead? Custom part for the passenger side, help balance out the weight distribution.
