Format will be the same, with the standing mile but there will also be 1/4's with ET and ES. Cottesmore is a recently deactivated RAF base so the runway is in better condition than Woodbridge. Guest crisisjez Posted April 26, 2011 Share Posted April 26, 2011 Hi fellas, that was quick. Cottesmore has just been deactivated and as such any further details are yet to be agreed. It will be this summer though I am sure (he says crossing his fingers) and as it was an active Harrier Base I'm pretty sure the noise limits will be reasonable for the first few events, untill the residents get used to the quiet. The runway is 1.75 miles long so slightly shorter than Woodbridge (1.95) but the surface is ridged so no directional problems (Fingers crossed again) Also the mile marker will be on view from the paddock so there will be plenty of action to see. I am also talking to Javelin about allowing spectators in and donating the proceeds to H4H which my swing it for us.
