how do you dry your car?

I use Sonus Drying Towels and find them very good, they last well to which is important for me. Dont try to dry the car in the sun or it will be very difficult, i also spray the car in meguiars last touch whilst its still soaking as this helps as a drying aid.

If your car is being very difficult to dry and time consuming you may find although you think the car is clean it may well be covered in contamination which hinders the drying process. This is where claying comes in and removes crap stuck to the paint and makes drying much much easier, just a thought :)

Thanks for the insite stonkin... I know you know your stuff as your do the car detailing.. Iv never seen that meguiars last touch so i'll look into that.. As i said i went for the grizzly so i hope that does a good job... Wasted £18 on that meguiars leather :(

Bought myself a Turtle Head Ice microfibre drying cloth today. Just finished using it and results were much better than the conventional way of chamois leathering it down as I used to before, can't believe i've never purchased one before! Also bought some Meguiars Ultimate Quik Detailer too, gonna give that a bash tomorrow :)

I ordered the larger one last night after reading this thread. Hopefully get it in time for the weekend. Also ordered some Harly Carnauba wax, anyone else tried this? Seemed to have good reviews so I thought i'd give it a try.

Hi

As my good lady says it's all down to technique, i've always used a good quality leather chamois and just worked it very quickly.

What i would say though if like me your car isn't used as a daily driver, always take it out for a spin afterward, saves your discs getting pitted from being in contact with your brake pads and the underneath will get dried off, oh and that annoying dribble from the panel gaps will go aswell ;-)
