Supra still off the road :( May get it going again in the summer hopefully

Come on here to pick your brains (hopefully)

Ive just bought a new graphics card, but its come with a power connector (pictured) but im not sure which molex connector to use as theres about 5?? (again pictured) im guessing they are all the same as all the wires going to them are the same colours, but how do i know which ones to use or would it make no difference?

TIA :)

Hey Trig.

try and trace the cables back to the power supply and use one molex connector from one cable and one from another. If you can as well try to keep any hard drives and optical drives on another different cable, if that isn't possible share the drives equally between the cables.

It shouldnt make to much differance mate.... Thing im thinking about is the PSU size. Its not a modular PSU so it looks like your using the one that came with the PC. Now depending on how the spec of yout PC when you bought it companys tend to use 250 - 400w PSU's and if its a decent graphics card you have bought it will just pop.

When i did my 1st upgrade to a ATI Sapphire HD4580 i had to run a 600w PSU when i crossfired by adding another 4580 it poped the 600w...
