CJ
Can anyone recommend a good programme that would monitor the temps inside my PC?
monsween
There is a nice wee program that uses the existing sensors and you can set alarms up for high temps. Let me see if i can find it.

Thorin
Yup another vote for Real Temp http://www.techpowerup.com/realtemp/
Dan_Turism0
realtemp is good but picky about the cpu's it supports, coretemp is a adequate substitute just has slightly less bells and whistles

Wez
CPUFan is quite good for temp monitoring and fan control

Dan_Turism0
CPU fan is ok but this gives temperatures that it receives from the motherboard as opposed to actual core temperatures which are more important really as motherboard sensors are average at best
CJ
I have D/L Real Temp but now I am not too sure if the temps are good or not? I have numbers in 2 rows / 2 columns. Under the one that says CPUID I am getting 51 and under Ox10676 I am getting 48 (both degrees c). Under that it then shows the distance to TJ max which is a figure that would take it to 100 but I am not sure what TJ Max means. The thermal status says it is OK and then if I run XS bench it gives me the following: Your score - 828 Time 17.672 secs Speed 2500.03MHz Base score 1000 E8400 3000MHz High Score 1976 Time 7.404 secs 17 940 48730.28MHz rge ExtremeSystems

DamanC
Minimise Real Temp, Core Temp or Speedfan and it reports Temps in the task bar. Otherwise, download a widget for vista/7.

I D/L a widget and that is working fine and dandy. Thanks for the advice
