Short break Recommendations

Hi All,

 

My Wife and myself want to go away to Europe for a short break (3 nights) but not really sure on where we want to go.

Does anyone have any suggestions on where is nice to go, you know a place where there is plenty to do (day trips) etc?

For a short break I guess you're looking at a citybreak in one of the big European cities.

 

Paris, Amsterdam, Berlin, Barcelona? I've been to Paris and Amsterdam, and I preferred Paris. Amsterdam seemed to cater more for big lads' nights out.

If it is just with the missus, then I couldn't recommend a better place than Paris.

 

I have never been with the missus but worked there quite a bit, lovely place for couples.

 

You would have to do the Eiffel Tower and their are loads of Musems to visit and lovely buildings!

Paris is always a nice place to go, lots to do, romantic too. Rome is the same but warmer, I've been to Nice a few times and have always enjoyed that, lots of places near by to see, (Monty-Carlo, Cannes). Also a really good place is the bay of Naples, somewhere like Sorrento, you have got, Vasuvius, Pompeii, Isle of Capri near by, bit pricey around there though but lots to do.

Barcelona, Madrid, Rome or Amsterdam would be my choices.

 

It depends on when you want to go - if you're looking to go now - then Madrid or Rome would be my first choices. Early spring in Barcelona is lovely. Summer in Amsterdam is smokin' (see what I did there!)
