Brakes making a creaking noise at low speeds

Hey chaps

 

My UK spec brakes have started making a weird creaking sound - almost like a clunk. I have been dreading asking what the problems is because I get the feeling it will shock me but here goes: what could this be? Do I need new pads? Should I check brake fluid?

 

I am asking my good buddy Wilo-I have a Porsche-Orange to help me out

 

They are 4pot front and 2 pot back. I cannot isolate where the sound is coming from.

Seized caliper? Does it get louder/worse when you turn the steering wheel when moving?

A clunking/clinking is fairly normal on UK specs, 3 cars Ive had them on did it evem with the correct shims and stuff, but a creaking? Id pull the pads and see what they look like.

My old UK did the same as has this one until the pads and discs were changed. When I had a continual and worsening creaking/clunking it was a seized caliper which is also more and more common nowadays.

I will check when turning but it sounds like the creak happens when they engage. From high speed, breaking is fine. It's when doing about 1-15mph and braking. Weird. I'll get them checked and take it from there

i guess this is due to the pads starting to be "mirrored" (i'm french so... )

i think scratching the pads would help

Its called de glazing use some 80 grit wet and dry paper and hold it on a flat surface then rub the pad over it, do the same to the discs.
