HELP!! Diesel in Supra

Thank you for everyones input. I know i am silly to have done that, but whats done it done. All i can do now is to wait and see if anything bad happens if so than i guess what better to tell the other half i need a tt engine, rather then i need a engine because i want more power.

how the divil did you do that?

 

smells different, dirty nozzle, different colour label...... I suppose being human get the better of us.

 

As far as i remember just get it drained ASAP. I remember when i was a kid my dad but petrol in is diesel Astra, drove it some miles to get sorted and did another 8 years or so out that old banger.

 

Hope it gets sorted mate, dont worry to much.. After all diesel is out and you ruinning petrol again all the small diesel that is left will work its way out.. However i would get a new fuel filter ace out!!

Up to about 10% diesel petrol mix is OK, but not as a long term economy solution;). Beyond 10% the silicone used as an anti foaming agent in diesel will kill the O2 sensor. As the car has already run with greater than 10% diesel any damage to the O2 sensor will have been done. Certainly using the fuel pump to partly empty the tank would help, but make sure you are 100% confident about reducing the risk of igniting any petrol vapour, before even considering this a method.
