But it should be clearly marked on your title deeds...'T's should be marked on the boundary lines, the leg of the 'T' on your side indicates a boundary thats yours. Strictly speaking he divisional wall or fence should be a shared responsibility between the two parties. If the fence lies entirely within the boundaries of your own property, then it is your fence and your sole responsibility. The usual rule of thumb is also to look on who's side the fence posts are on. If they are on yours its usually because they are your responsibility. If you are responsible for the boundary as marked on your deeds, then the boundary fence or wall is your responsibility unless it is wholly on your neighbours property (if it straddles the boundary and falls down, you have to fix it.)
