Supragal Posted May 18, 2005 Share Posted May 18, 2005 Hi all We are starting to see a few members who are being emailed (automatically by the forum) saying that their club membership is due to expire, but are questioning this as they recall paying in Dec/Jan of last year. Your club membership is running out. The reason for this is due to the forum upgrade being done in December which is when the automatic club membership subscription came into effect. Previously to this it was a manual task and had been let slip so therefore eventhough a member should have expired in (say) May 2004 they were still able to post right through until Dec/Jan until the forum took over and forced payment. Therefore the payment made was backdated to cover the months when the use of the forum had effectively been "free", so the members expiry was increased by 1 year from whenever the payment was originally and historically due. We had to do it this way because a number of members have a yearly standing order set up which was paid to the club when it was due (ie May 2004) and the same for people who knew their club membership was due and voluntarily came forward and paid it without prompting.
