ClaireRZ-S
Well the boyfriend has the Supra for a few weeks he's already damaged my bumper but anyways i haven't had a petrol cap for ages using the universal one which would never stay in properly and you may see some fuel coming out the back. Since i got a proper petrol cap no fuel coming out and he says shes nippy again. Would using one of them universal petrol caps that you push in cause the soop not to run right?? bradleyh_15
don't know the answer but I bet the petrol spilt caused a few bikers a couple of hairy moments!
bigbloodyturbo
I wouldn't have thought it would cause any bother but then again, everytime I take the cap off mine to fill it up, i turn it and the cap gets spat out at me as if there's pressure in the tank. Maybe it's supposed to be like that, I don't know.

dani_r
I have one of those 'push in' ones and I'm gunna get it changed because all you can smell is fuel around that area! Does anyone know if a toyota one is better or can I just get a standard one from a garage?
ClaireRZ-S
i could smell fuel when you drive the car hard with one of them push in caps i cant anymore with the proper one
Guigsy
there is always pressure when i remove mine. but its never "spat out" at me. always like there is negative pressure in the tank and it always hisses when i unscrew it. If you dont have one get a propper one from mr T. MY NA and uk TT both did that hiss thing btw.
pbryant_knight
You should really release the cap slowly letting the gas escape that way itr won't spit out at you. I doubt very much that the pressure in the fuel tank would cause it to run any better or worse since it's the pump that transfers the juice to the engine Peter
