DamanC
Nothing beats a excellent spec PC for gaming, first person shooters i don't know how anybody can say a pad can beat a keyboard and mouse player. I Agree. FPS games push the boundaries of gaming progression everytime. I know, lets try and play it on a silly controler with sticks to aim a gun
RedM
Real hardcore gamers wouldn't be arguing on a car forum. They'd be playing games.

A keyboard?!! So un-ergonomic for game play. After half life i had to give up keyboard based games to focus on healing my repetitive strain syndome!! O.M.G!! mate, that is so incredibly sad!! martini
O.M.G!! mate, that is so incredibly sad!! Says the guy that created this thread?? The games you wish they would make? But yeh, I guess I can be sad. I'll be a sad geek when it comes to my Surpa too... might even paint it orange

martini
Nah, you would be in danger of becoming cool then!! Seriously though, this blog is read by some even more hardcore gamers (geeks in this case) and the sale of my old SEGA games is bringing me in enough case to help me get to the target of a TT supra by next year If I was going orange I would have some kind of GT wing a la F&F. Mike
I think sir meant; Harcore gamers don't use nancy boy consoles...PC's FTW. Tis true enough.. but keeping on top of the PC spec to run new games would be a pain, and also the reliability issues with stuff like DLC for Fallout would kill me. I have to say, I do like the 'put disc in and play' approach to gaming you get with a console, without the need for hardware/software upgrade/configuration. All of that said I would love Crysis
mathew
reverting back to my original question are there any? ive never been amassive fan of games consoles let alone labelling myself as a 'hardcore gamer' so the need of analogue sticks imo is pointless and difficult. one of the most enjoyable games ive played was the tony hawk series on the ps2 and not an analogue stick in sight needed. If you can't hack an analogue stick, you're doomed in my opinion. It's like people who shun predictive text saying the original million button presses way is better. Just get used to it / learn and your life will benifit from it

Matt H
HL2 Actually. http://www.gamepro.com/article/features/207425/the-28-best-fps-games-page-3-of-3/ Loved half life two. Can't read that article at work unfortuneatly. But it was nowhere near as good as Goldeneye, once i finished it that was it, no replay value. I've been know to stick whack out the N64 and goldeneye with my mates to date. Wouldn't dream of that with HL2

We gonna have to agree to disagree. It a debate thats gone on for years, but HL2 comes up tops on nearly all of the polls/reviews etc Don't know if you have played GE recently, but its pap. I loved it when it was out, 4 player, awesome. I just want to let you know that the HL2 engine has graced us with the most games from one engine by miles. The last was Duke Nukem, 18 IIRC. The source engine.....50+. How you can say it has no replay value
mathew
You could buy one of the Street Fighter joysticks? i was thinking this as the only games i can see myself really playing are tony hawk (if there are any ot for the ps3) and any of the street fighter franchise games. Keith C
That's better - discussing games, not what they run on! I can't believe we've made it this far though without someone mentioning Deus Ex! http://myspace.roflposters.com/images/rofl/myspace/1212050920655.jpg.%5Broflposters.com%5D.myspace.jpg
Alex
LOL I have Deus Ex on my Steam account and played the follow up recently, I would love a new version on the Source/Fallout engine.
