The "red button" question is the most frequently asked question asked by new members who have not searched, quite why you are getting bombarded with it I'm not sure. FYI the red button allows you to move the car out of gear without the engine running, it is not a good idea to press it while the car is in motion, though I'm not sure it would have any effect.
