Possibly Trial rear bumper

I am thinking of changing the look of my car and am feeling the water to see if anyone would be interested in my rear bumper.

It is in 199 silver and currently still fitted to my car.

I would Ideally like to do it on an exchange basis for a standard rear bumper in silver plus around £300.

The bumper is in great condition apart from a scape on the under side about 4inches long and a small crack in the paint due to the gel coat (not the fiber glass) coming away a little. This is hardly noticeable and is about 1-2inches long and is on the side where the "spat bit" meets the bumper.

Also there is a little damage around the exhaust area due to the heat, but again hardly noticeable.

It was originally a Knight Racer sourced bumper which I bought about 1 year ago for £495.

Here is a pic of it fitted to my car...

It would be collection only and the rear bumper delivered on collection.

Ok thanks for the interest guys. Ideally I am after a silver one in exchange. However if i can get hold of a silver bumper then I will sell it as is. For the time being I will hold out for an easy exchange. :)

how about i get mine sprayed for you and £200

With a silver OEM bumper I want £300 as I will need the money for what I am planning on putting on with it, and for re-spraying the lower parts of the wings where the bumper has been.

Don't suppose you want a PS3 80GB about 6 months old instead of the £250.

And are you happy with fitting it, as I wouldn't know were to start;)

Sorry need the cash mate sell the PS3 :), as for fitting, I would recommend a bodyshop as the side "spat" bits need to be bonded to the car so it fits nice and tight like in the picture above.

I can't raise cash before I go on holiday, but could possibly pay via PayPal.

The only problem I have is getting it home, as it is never going to fit in the Supe;)

Don't suppose you fancy another trip to my place:) and you can take my old bumper and spats back with you.

Are you going to be able to get of the bumper without damaging the paint, as I don't want to have to raise the cash for a respray as well

Thats the plan, I was going to get my bodyshop to remove it, a slim instrument will be enough to remove the bonded parts, the rest is bolts and I removed it a few times before it was painted to test fit etc, and had no problems then.

It maybe a possibility to travel down again. Will have to see if my mate will take me in his van again.

If you can arrange transport and get it off undamaged I will have it for £250 through PayPal and my rear bumper in exchange.

Mine is not perfect, it has a crazing under the the rear light (not that noticable and a small bit of paint came off by the corner of the rear spat, I will get a couple of photo's if you want.

Are you happy to remove the bumper when you come down, as I have not got a clue were it bolts on etc.

The only other problem I can fore see, is I am about to go to Florida on Wednesday week until Friday 12th June, so wouldn't be able to sort this until I get back

TBH I would prefer it if you could remove your bumper first as I wouldn't want to damage it, its very simple to remove, just the screws you see along the top when you open the boot, take the rear lights out, couple of bolts in the wing under the lights, and a row or screws along the underside.

As for waiting until after you get back that would be ok as I could get a few things sorted.

I wont however be able to hold it as if someone is able to come to me etc.. that would make it a lot easier and I'd have to let it go.

This could get really difficult to sort, as my car is my daily driver, so needs to stay on the road.

I would have to get the rear bumper and spats off and arrange to get the trial fitted within a couple of days. So I am starting to have doubts if this is a good idea.

I am sure I could get the rear bumper off myself, but the rear spats are a different matter.

I will make a phone call to the bodyshop tomorrow and see if I can sort anything.

Would you be able to come down during the morning of either Tuesday 16 June or 17th 18th 19th to be here by midday ish

Wouldn't be able to come down during the week, as my mate with the van will be working and I will be on shift. Would have to be a weekend. I suppose I would be able to remove your bumper but I wouldn't want to fit the trial rear.

I will subscibe to the thread and if you haven't sold it (which I am sure you will have) by the time I come back from Florida, we will try and get this sorted.

I am sure I will be able to get my rear bumper off anyway, the only real problem would be the rear spats as they are obviously bonded and would need to be removed by the bodyshop and I am not sure if they open on Saturdays, I will call them tomorrow just to check anyway.
