ClaireRZ-S
Right i've been looking at a few threads on here regarding the difference between the uk and J-Spec brakes. Someone said to me the weekend that i have the UK ones as they are bigger. The model i have is an RZ-S do they uk brakes come as an extra on these models? Just wondering because i'm confused as to why they arent J-Spec

Wez
RZ-S should have bigger brakes, mine does as do all other RZ-S I have come across Mine also came with factory fitted Recaros which I sold recently.
SteveR
Didn't realise yours is an RZ-S Wez, is it a very late 96 then?
Wez
Didn't realise yours is an RZ-S Wez, is it a very late 96 then? I guess so. From memory the RZ-S also has the larger diff casing and yellow bilstein suspension.
Nic
It's confusing referring to them as UK brakes, they are not exclusive to the UK Supra, many of the Japanese Supra model also came with the larger brakes as standard.

BOB B
Hi Claire. Yes the RZ-S has the bigger brakes fitted, a lot better brakes, I always buy Chris Wilson fast road pads and 3G grooved and dimpled discs, a few people on here use these, good but not silly prices. By the way you realy must bling your callipers up a bit. Bob. Edited April 2, 2009 by BOB B (see edit history)
Kammy
How do you tell the difference. I've just had to replace discs and pads on mine for the MOT and I got told I had the bigger ones in my Jspec but how can I be sure, How small are the Jspec ones compared to the UK ones? Nic
There are pics of the larger calipers here http://mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=98436 The smaller brakes look very different. If you're still not sure, post pics of yours so we can confirm which they are.
