adnanshah247
Watched the fight wasnt really impressed. Amir khan has definately become a different fighter but his punches didnt do much damage. Barrera ate loads of them but walked about as if nothing happened, its a shame it didnt go all the way because of his cut (barrera - headbutt exchanged) but i think barrera might have broken him down in the later rounds. was a very dirty gash that barrera had though, suprised it wasnt stopped earlier. barrera did get a few shots in that at one point stunned khan but he managed to tie him up before barrera did anymore damage. ok victory but wouldnt say its a top noch fight....... Barrera after the 1st round:-

PJ
I caught the last round or so of this and what a shame for it to go the way that it did, unfortunate clash of heads. Though I'd missed the first rounds I heard the score card and it did seem that the baby faced assassin is past it now and should concentrate on his out of ring activities. Very sad but it comes to everyone in that game. Saying that though, knowing the heart of Barrera, the fight, had it not been stopped due to the clash of heads, I expect would have gone to the end. He's a tough little character as he proved in the awesome battles with Morales. Fights that probably shortened both of their careers. Had it run the distance I am sure that Barrera would have started to bother Khan a lot.
Axle
They will overhype hype him (Khan) again to high heaven. I really don't know what it proves- Beating a guy well past his prime and already well into retirement. It's abit like beating up a drunk OAP and feeling smug about it. Barrera in his prime would have murdered him Yep.
Ian W
Saw none of the fight but skysports' report makes khan out to be the saviour of British boxing?! I'm sure this is wide of the mark if at least premature. As said, barrera was seriously disadvantaged with the cut, as well as being well past his prime anyway (barrera in his prime would have destroyed khan and to be frank it annoys me that promoters pick these fights to make khan seem amazing when he's actually fighting a once great fighter on the verge of retirement). I agree. It looked like Barrera got hammered last night, but for 90% of that fight he couldn't see out if one eye from all the blood. I don't care who you are, that is a serious disadvantage. Without the cut i think that fight would have gone the ditance. Khan might well have won on points, but he wasn't knocking out Barrera.
add heywood
Due to the nature of his win he didn't prove anything, Right from the start Barrera was at a disadvantage. The Sky commentators were going on like he had knocked the guy clean out. To give Kahn his due, he did look sharp for the 1st part of the fight but has not shown him to be able to take a punch, which is obviously a weakness he has (from his previous fight). Imo Barrera would have caught up later on in the fight, maybe got a shot off and shown Kahns glass chin again.

Bobbeh
It was a pity it ended like that, Khan did look very good and its a shame this victory was ruined by the fact Barrera could hardly see.. so we couldnt properly judge the quality of Amirs performance fully. He does look improved under Roach, time will tell, whether he is able to take another big hit is still up for debate. He is a promising talent though. hadyn
I expected Barrera to butcher Khan tbh. Khan still fights like an amateur IMO...
