Konrad
I was set to get Samsung Omnia, but my gf was faster. Had a little play with it and liked it. So i tought I would do more research to not clone "her idea" and stumbled across HTC Touch HD. Ordered one throug Phones4U in Orange network. Screen is massive, phone works very smooth, HTC bottom menu is very handy, screen is reacting to touch very good, battery keeps for ages (I did 7 hours of non stop talk before battery gave up). CPU is pretty quick, you do not have to wait for ages for something to open, you will find that most of the menus are intuitive (sp?). Camera is doing nice pictures, only problem is you need to get used to timing, so photo will not blur because of your shaky hands Movie recording quality is very nice, sound is crisp. I like idea of zooming pics by making circles on the touch screen Will install TomTom later on and give you additional information about built in GPS. This phone is very good alternative to IPhone, there is also a lot of software avaliable as this phone is using WM 6.1 system.

I chopped in my (wank) Tocco for it at the weekend.
MrRalphMan
I've had one since Xmas, on O2 with Unlimited Web bolt on. It's the best thing since sliced wotsit, It's replaced my old phone/PDA combo with just the one item. Screen is the right size, seen the HTC Touch Diamond and the 2.8 screen is just a little too small for me. Video playback is great, been watching Red Dwarf on the train lately. GPS is fine, very quick locks, some say that they get a lot of lag with it, but I cannot see any more lag then with my PDA/BT receiver before. Using the Camera as mentioned before can be a bit hit and miss until you get the timing issues. One excellent thing you can do is get across to http://forum.xda-developers.com/ to use some of the custom roms there and find a forum like ours, but for phones. I use this guys roms and they are great.

MrRalphMan
I love $#@!e windows mobile. And now I've resolved the issues with the inbuilt GPS and my GPS speedo program, I'm even more happier. Only thing that didn't work, which did work on WM2003se and WM5 is Crypto Card. I'm now using SPB Wallet, but it's not as clean as CC and tries to be a bit too flashy.
