Digsy
I'll be doing a minimal cost spruce up in my kitchen soon. While out shopping for tiles I got the idea into my head that it might be nice to modernise the look of the place buy getting some new doors for all the units. Pick a style at random (B&Q). £50 per door... ...without the handles! WTF??? The cheapest style they had (not one I fancied) was about £20 per door. I'd be looking at between £320 and £800 just for the fecking doors!!! Anyone know of a place that sells them at a more sensible price?

Digsy
No, no, no... That wouldn't work at all. Just wanted to change the look to something more modern* but I'm not paying £800 for the privilege. *I was going to put "less cottagey" but thought it sounded a bit...umm

Digsy
Either I'm being thick or Ikea don't sell doors separately. Ian: There are no words that describe your kitchen. "Sticky" comes closest, though.

Soo
We did the same last year, but like you couldn't justify the huge cost just for some doors ! We saw some door coverings on the TV (some crappy makeover program) but gave it a go and it's brill. With lots of care they look just like brand new doors. It's just like thick sticky backed plastic, but when you think of it, that's all that laminate is that most doors are covered in anyway. The only downside I could see is if you had curvy doors ! Your'e the only person who will know how you did them and you will have £££ to spend on your Supe !!!!

Digsy
Can't imagine them being £100 a door, so I suppose so. *Edit* This looks quite promising too.

Might have to pay a visit over the weekend. Bank Holiday coming up = DIY project.
