hmm, I'd read somewhere that they're concentrating on prologue and the game had been delayed till 2010 :(, maybe just speculation tho'. Lets hope so. I'm hoping for the damage update before the end of the year. Not holding my breath though :(

Sony have cheesed me off with the GT series of games.

I got a PSP because GT mobile was all set to be released, videos, review etc made it look amazing and then they dropped it, big mistake really as that would have been a major seller.

Then the PS3 came along, GT5 demos etc so I picked one up, all we have had is a bigger demo which you have to pay for.

TBH my PS3 only gets used as a media player now and some occasional guiter hero.

The Wii which we have had a little while gets used far more than either of the Sony units, yes the graphics are basic but the games etc are 10 time better.

i use my ps3 for gtaIV, assasins creed, prologue. Would use it for MGS and COD4 if i had them but never got round to buying them. Also use it a lot to play dvd's. my sster's fiance has a 360 and its pretty good for COD4 but its broken twice and it needed a load of optional extras to bring it up on-par with the ps3

I feel the same Wez, except I don't use it for media stuff or other games apart from GTA4 and GT5 prologue (both of which are a complete let down and have zero replay value). End result is it's been used a dozen times but not been touched in months. A total waste of money :(

I'll stick with the good old PC which has plenty of good titles in all sorts of genre available now and in the coming year. I doubt the PS3 will get touched again until GT5 comes out.

I must admit that gta4 was a huge letdown. I was given a copy by someone that tried it for a couple of hours......I have tried my hardest to get into it maybe 10hrs but its still not exactly gripping me. cod4 on the other hand was addictive if a little(very) short.

Looking forward to cod5 :). end of hijack.....

I'm fortunate that i bought the PS3 as a mediacenter and not as a games machine. I don't feel let down by my purchase but i can understand why a gamer would be. I'm not much of a game player but i know that when GT5 comes out i will be buying it. I love racing games, i always have, and the more real the better. I only have 2 games at the moment, COD4 and Virtua tennis 3. Surprisingly i've played COD4 twice and Virtua Tennis about a dozen times. I just can't make the time for COD4 to get into it properly wheras the tennis is a quick hit for a bit of entertainment.

Also, i have a Wii and have to agree, for entertainment value nothing touches it for the investment of time required to have fun. Great with the mates and a few beers too :D

I read somewhere that there bringin out ps4 around 2010, and there not looking for massive improvements, there aiming at around x2 processor power of the current hardware and there also going for a much smaller design and intend to follow in the footsteps of the wii.

on a sidenote, i have not even bothered with prologue as i fail to see the point in spending cash on a half release. i have played it, thought it was .. ok.. but ill save my pennies until the full version comes out. until then its guitar hero, drakes fortune and cod4 for me.. :)

You will most likely find that to be false. I don't think sony could afford to bring out another console by then as they are losing money on the PS3's as it is.

They may bring out a slimline version of it though, like they have done with every other console they have made.
