Chris Wilson
Arnout van de Kamp has kindly shipped over one of his new cast iron single turbo, remote wastegate turbo manifolds for me to look at. A nice casting, light, but I am sure it will be hefty enough to stop any cracking that tubular tubo manifolds are so prone to. I am hoping to build Nick an engine for his 1998 VVti MKIV manual, based on this manifold, so was interested to see one in the metal. A credit to Arnout, it's good to see the investment in such parts continuing. Arnout can be reached at: Arnout v.d. Kamp I believe he will be making downpipes, wastegate pipes and intake side pipe kits for this manifold in due course. It takes either cheap HKS "copy" wastegates or should be available with the genuine V band clamped genuine HKS `gate set up too. There is another thread on this forum with pics from Arnout. Ian C
That's a neat and compact install What effect will having the turbo outlet so close to runners 1 and 2 have? Would thermal lagging be a good idea there? -Ian PS which Nick is this for...?
