supra_si
Cars started doing this more and more often, not sure whats going on but aux belt is squeeling and in the morning the cars needing to be turned over a few times before starting. could it be a case of not recharging the battery properly due to belt slippage. Swampy442
Well if its turning over the battery's probably ok. As for the squealing just change the belt, cheap and easy to do
Chris Wilson
Has the crank damper come apart? That'll cause belt slippage and low charging.

Chris Wilson
Clicking is usually caused by burnt out contacts in the starter motor itself, you can buy repair kits, or I can recondition the starter if you can't get it done locally. Do a search, there's loads of info on crank damper issues. I have a new one on the shelf if you need it.
Missile
My crank pully came apart. It squeeled every now and then before I replaced it, Espesially if you tuned on the air con. Just for your info incase that helps.
