Supra Noodle
Just wondered if someone could put my mind at ease. Supra has been stored away in the garage for the last 6 months, and i can't remember if a whining noisy coming from the steering pump is normal (steering doesn't feel heavy). I may be just being paranoid!!!
AlanM
Top up the fluid, leave the cap off and move the steering from full lock to full lock other way a few times. Should clear it
Supra Noodle
Cheers i'll give it a try, but fluid level seems good.
marc_p
Is it just a small whine or is it like a mini's whine?
Tourniquet
Mine just had this problem and I am therefore qualified to tell you tis an air lock. As above just run with the cap off and go from full lock to full lock for bout 10 mins. It'll lear and grind ur tyres into the floor lol

Chris Wilson
Blocked filter screen in the reservoir, or a suction side air leak, or a knackered bearing or rotor assembly in the pump itself.
