Windows not sealing

Anyone else get the folowing problem?

 

Open door, get in, close door (Sometimes doesn't shut tight, has to be slammed a bit, but not too hard).

 

Start driving, get to like 40mph and hear a load whistling noise.

 

Open window, close window, noise gone.

 

Ideas/Fixes welcome!

i had this problem the door catch needs adjusting/tightening.

Silicone lubricant, you can get a spray can from Halfrauds. Just spray it on to the rubber and then wipe it off, it softens up the rubber and helps it seal.

Also check all ur rubber seals are tucked in where there supposed to be, when i replaced my drip guards i had this problem. It was the seals were not seated properly.

I had what sounds like exactly the same problem. The windows were actually getting caught on the strip above the windows. You can adjust the glass to stop this. Try closing your door lots of different ways to see if the glass catches.

I get that, I just lower/rase the window as you said.

I had this problem too. The window glass was slightly lose so one end of the glass would go too high and catch on the outer side of the rubber seal. It was only a 10 minute fix to strip the door down and tighten it.

 

I suspect the problem is caused by people closing the door by pushing on the glass instead of using the door handles.

I had this on my old car, just put the window down a bit, close the door & put it back up again. It seemed to depend on if it was cold or if i was on a slope

I have this problem too. I think its because my cars had more smacks than mike tyson........
