Conrad
My girlfriends Grandad owns a 'mint' 1980 light blue Chevette! It's one owner from new and done just 55k! How can someome have the same car for 28 years!! Anyway, he wants shut of it and has asked me if I want it! Not to my personal taste but it has to be worth something to someone! Anyone know where's the best place to sell something like this?

Matt H
The first ever car my dad owned after my parents had me! would love to buy this. although 55k, how many times around the clock has it gone?
AndrewOW
Aww my first car was a Vauxhall Chevette 1.3. Is that the larger engined version? Rear wheel drive too, if I remember rightly, as I managed to spin it at a T-junction doing hardly any miles per hour at all! Maybe its worth trying the BBC, as it would fit in nicely somewhere in Ashes to Ashes As long as they don't smash it up!
Conrad
I think that's genuine! Not seen the car myself, just have a picture message on my phone! Will try and upload it later!

Pete
I could be interested. I have a mate who rallys Chevettes and another mate that collects cars from that era...well I say collects, he has two odd old british runarounds.

AndrewOW
That would make a great little project sleeper, alot have dropped a vaux redtop into these and they really fly. They did also come in a 2.3l, which must've been absolutely mad, as they weren't exactly stable round corners! That Vauxhall 'Calibra' 2l 16v (non Ecotec) engine gets put into almost anything too small for it, a lot! My Calibra was lovely, when it worked
Conrad
how much now I haven't a clue dude, didn't really think anyone would be interested! I need to go see it and see what kind of condition it's in. It's almost certainly got a flat battery as I don't think it's been out the garage in years! In the mean time, here's the pic off my phone:
