Pig
I know some of you are pretty good with these so thought you might be able to help with my trouble shooting. I have a LAMA V3 and when i up the throttle to take off it suddenly starts spinning in a big circle and falls over. I recently changed all the blades and the servo and think the problem could be related to this. Thanks Jon

JamieP
Are you using the trims to set it up?
Pig
Trims on the remote are all set to center but i did fiddle with the ones on the servo and set it back to center.
JamieP
Sounds like you need to play around with them mate, setting them to center dont mean the heli is set up for flying;)

JamieP
Looks a bit excessive to be trimming, its spinning to the left so try trimming it fully the other way to see what happens.
supra matt
Looks Like you put the blades on upside down mate lol LOOK IN pic two they look the wrong way up so when you hit full power your just trying to push it into the floor instead of into the air . Guest gzaerojon
as the body starts to turn, the gyro should see this and adjust the tail speed acordingly to keep the body straight. are you sure the wires are round the right way on the tail motor? Pabs
The spinning may be caused by the gain setting on your 4-in-1 being set incorrectly. When you start your heli throttle up, if the A (upper) rotors start turning before the B (lower) rotors, or vice-versa, it is likely to be the gain settings. Make very minor alterations, remembering to disconnect the battery, make the adjustment, then reconnect. Trial and error should get you there. Pabs
Also, check this thread (may need to register but free and very useful) It's reference the correct wiring for the 4 in 1. http://www.heliguy.com/Forum/well-shoot-help-t11591.html It could be that your gyro is connected the wrong way around, so instead of correcting the spin, it actually ADDs to it making it worse. bluecoup
tail is far to technical for this heli, counter rotating blades means u dont need one you say you changed the blades, is this cause of a crash, mines got a habit of splitting the pinion gear on one of motors so it looks like the blades are spinning till they load up on take off and then it slips, id take a very close look there first, does this version have the little red/green light on it to set the gyro on it ? Why do i have to disconnect the batt 1st? Yep, changed blades because i let someone have a go and they killed them Whats a pinion gear? If i hold the heli by the bottom i can go full throttle and it seems fine so i imagine they are both spinning ok. Yes to the red/green light but what do you mean to set the gyro? Pabs
Sorry mate - what I posted was mainly cut/paste from some advice I saw on the forum - Disconnecting the battery is just a precaution to make sure you don't hurt yourself or anyone else Plus it also ensures that everything is set to the std settings with all servo's etc centred. If you've had a crash, have you actually disconnected the cables at any point? As it seems the most likely reason for this is incorrect wiring, but if it's been flying fine before and you've not changed anything then it's more likely to be damage or the blade setup. Pig
Have disconnected all cables and blades. Think your link might be very helpful (am hopeful) trying it now. Forgot to turn it off then changing blades and yes it does hurt when it spins round and hits your hand
