Well that was a bit of luck

Following on from my personal rant - here's another personal snippet: :D

I went to do a bit of shopping tonight and couldn't find my wallet. I looked around in all the usual places but it was still nowhere to be found. I then thought I must have left it in the car but looked and still no joy.

I then started to wrack my brains trying to remember the last time I had it and realised I had brought it in yesterday on top of a load of letters etc that were due to be thrown out.

So, out to the bin I go and luckily the last thing I put in there was the carrier bag with the old letters and envelopes. I open it all up and there it was!

Not much money in it but my debit card, drivers licence and residency permit. Phew! :)

Thank god you found it Col if you lost the residency permit the chances are they would send you back and we wouldn't want that :D

Very true old chap. And the chances of me getting residency again would be slim as they now know what I am like. :D

Lucky man, good thinking :) - I've lost my wallet so I've been on the phone to various places canceling things, luckily I'd ordered a replacement visa card in the week as mine was cracked, which turned up today so I've still been able to buy things :)

Seeing as Colin is sharing his good luck, I will share mine with you as well....

I had a letter arrive the other day, no name on it, just my address, so I opened it up to find a cheque that has been written out for £110, signed but the payee left blank :D

The name on the check I have no idea who they are either.....

Who bets it will cash.....?

Sounds like you sold something for £110 but the buyer doesn't know your actual name so left it blank.

Mind you, you're lucky it didn't go missing in the post.

Hmmm, strange one. Perhaps you have a lady stalker and she is paying you in advance for something she will demand of you later ;)
