CJ
I have been asked by some ex pats (and Greeks too) if it would be possible for me to hold some classes in PC basics. Now, I know what you are thinking - CJ the technical numpty teaching them . Well, normally I would agree but we are talking real basics here like opening programs, sending email, attachments, basic word processing, looking at pics etc. So, if I am going to do this, I could do with some sort of itinerary to work off. Are there any online classes available already that I could erm....compare notes with?
JustGav
You may laugh, but some of the best books are the Dummy Guides... Well worth looking at seriously.

Todd
Dangerous, you may be teaching basics but 80% of your questions will also be based around other things on the apps you are teaching and you're going to look pretty stupid if you don't know. Did this for several years and you really need to know your onions, believe me, you get found out very quickly.
Pot
You should be able to find most of the dummies books available on your favourite torrent site, if you're into that sort of thing

Matt H
sounds cool! nice one CJ. Sounds like a worthy cause! i'd suggest the dummies guides too, but if its really jsut basics like how to move a mouse arounda screen then i'd be tempted to go of the top of my head, jsut have a list of things you want to go through that you think are imporant, start up loading up windows and then take it from there, take it off you head. Same way i taught trampolining to the begineers, just start from the beginning all the rst will follow
Pete
Now, I know what you are thinking - CJ the technical numpty teaching them . That's amazing, how did you know that? You should give mind reading courses instead - you'd make millions!

Carl_S
Doing ECDL at the moment. Probably a good thing to have if your gonna teach newbs, but by the sounds of the needs of your customers/ freinds a dummy guide should do you fine.
