miko_supra Posted December 23, 2007 Share Posted December 23, 2007 went and picked up a lovely mk2.5 1.8 black mx5 on Saturday morning in essex. anyway, i took it out for a spin, and its true what they say, they are truley awesome handling little things. the power seemed a little lacking, but doing little drifts in it is easier that on need for speed. fantastic little motor:) Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Guest Garfy Posted December 26, 2007 Share Posted December 26, 2007 great cars mate, anyone that says they are a hairdressers car are people that haven't driven one, I had a mk1 1.6 about 7 years ago, and I always regreted selling it, so a few months back I bought a Mk1 bbr turbo, which is fantastic, just soooooo much fun to drive, sure not nearly as quick as the soop, but just puts a massive smile on your face, and this one has the added bonus of the turbo. if your finding it short on power mate, look into flyin miata turbo kits, complanies like mx5mad and performance 5 will help you there, 245bhp can be got out of the 1.6, and let me tell you, that is quick in one of those, I came up against one on the road, and it was almost as quick as the soop to 60, which must be alot of fun.
