  1. Link doesn't work for me, but I'm interested...
  2. Ello all, I hope that someone can give me an idea of what might be wrong. About a month ago, I started having problems starting the car. I don't get to use the car that much and after about a week, the car would be dead, nothing just some dull lights. I purchased a new battery and everything was fine for a while, but last night it wouldn't start again. I hadn't used the car for about a week and a half. I got in, nice bright lights. Turned the key and got a quick succession of clicks (click.click.click.click you get the picture). After a couple of tries I didn't even get this and I started to get a slow clicking, which I think was the alarm trying to go off. Any idea on what might be draining the battery? I know that's not much to go on, but any idea might help. My suspicion is that it is the alarm draining it. Still, let me know what you think. Paul.
  3. My MkII had the digitial display and could switch betweem MPH and KPH at the touch of a button. That was quite cool and just as good as drive as the MKIV. I loved that car...
  4. This post has made me feel a little better. I have the rattle when I turn it off and also in reverse. But only when hot, if I have a quick 5-10 min run, it doesn't. Also when I'm trying to gently move in traffic, I sometimes get a 'donk' when I accellerate from a very slow speed (Not WOT, but gently acceleration). Thanks again to this great site... Paul.
  5. Forgot to say, it had a Private plate starting with C and a single number.
  6. I was followed by a white J-Spec today on the A12, I split off onto the A127 and he went off down the A12. This was around 16:30 and I was in the black Coupe (Wifeys care).
  7. It was clean, but I cannot say if the wheels were gold. They looked aftermarket though.
  8. Today, around 17:00. A red soop came past as I was trying to turn right out of a side road. Got a nice freindly wave from the passenger. Paul.
  9. Guys, It's new battery time. I have a price of £41.81 + VAT from Wickford, but is this a good price? Any other good places in Essex, around Billericay area? Paul.
  10. Benjys Tea and toast... The toast being dipped in Raisin Porridge. Yummy.
  11. Hiya, Having got my stock air box, can anyone tell me the part numbers for the bolts required to fit it? This is a UK Car. As far as I can see I need 3 to 4 bolts. The two (or is it three) that bolt the airbox to the thingy (I really don't know what this is, but it has two bolt holes one side and one the other), before going up to the engine. Also the top location bolt (On the left if looking from the front of the car). I have the one that tucked behind the light. If any one can help, or tell if there are any more, that would be great. Oh and sorry about the 'thingy' description, I just don't know what it is. Thanks, Paul.
  12. Wooh hoo.. dead last.... Although I like to say, I am a week down on everyone......
  13. Hiya, Is it possible to get resonable timings for 0-60, 1/4 Mile, 1/2 Mile etc from GPS?
  14. Err.... when did the season start? Damn... didn't see this until this morning.. 'Puter problems at home. Now entered, but guess I'll be getting that soap for you sir...
  15. Watched all three (did't realise the third one was one, nearly went to bed before it) and thought it was great. Will be watching this series with great interest.
  16. Does anyone else have a problem with their hose kinking and stopping the water flow every time you move it more then 2 foot? I washed my car at the weekend and was getting rather upset at having to wave the thing around to get the kinks out every few minutes (and the hose). Any good tips?
  17. Guys, Can anyone give me some advice please? 1) - Does anyone use a blade to remove water from their car after washing it? If so, what make/model and is it that much better then a cloth. 2) - What do you use to clean your wheels? My wheels are clean, but would like to keep them that way without causing any damage. 3) - My wifes wheels are not so clean, is there anything out there that will get off the brake dust/crap that I cannot get off with a sponge? 4) - Wax, if you use it, what do you use. Thanks, Paul.
  18. Thanks.. HOw fast was that run?
