Dave, I read your article some time ago and found it very informative, however, it doesn't answer my question, which is why I posted. Apologies if it's offended you. Is this something you included in the member survey last year? Could options be included in the next one?

RedM, not too off topic tho... I've been curious for ages about what options other people had from the factory - for example mine has the LSD and Bilstein Yellows too. Were your brakes fitted by a previous owner?

Right, as I understand it, all the 6speeds came with a LSD as standard (someone correct me if I'm wrong pls) so I was just wondering... how common is it to have an LSD as a factory option on an Auto? Anyone any thoughts?

they can do the same thing as the AA now with you being the member rather than the car (which is what I did) so I hope they do imports :S

I had a similar problem with direct line. first two times I changed the car on the policy they didn't change the documents to indicate it was an auto (and hence I'd only really want it flat-bedded if it broke down). I've joined with the RAC now having had appalling service from the AA (had to wait 3 1/2 hours once :O)

timing chain snapped on my dad's scorpio a few weeks ago. theres actually piston damage where the valves hit them, but not enough to warrant doing anything about it! its never a good idea to reuse head bolts or gasket mate.

why don't you want to power brake though? (if it breaks, fix it?!) presumably toyota would have done that to get the published figures? at least if you try a run like this you'll get a closer idea of if theres anything wrong surely?

Ceptik, I think you've just been unlucky on this occassion. I know alot of people that use engine advantages, and I've never seen readings as odd looking as yours! My old NA one was rr'd there and I think scoboblio had his done there too at one point.
