my trusty escort seranade 1.6liter 16 valve ecotec has seen its last journey.had it 2 years got it at 62k miles now its got 97k miles.bought it for £450 on a p reg. had to spend £300 quid on 1st mot.been bashed about and got dints and cracked bumpers but did its job.started to use a lot of water in last month.using 5 pints of water every 20 miles or so. did me ok before the water was leaking went down to migs to pick up my th400 box 600 mile round trip.never failed to start. quite supprised how good it lasted, was always there when i needed it.tax and mot ran out so decided to get something a bit cleaner. bought my first nissan. its a nissan primera 2liter twin cam 16 valve.its older than escort but its a lot better.engine looks clean as anything.guy was selling it for £575 with 12 months test and 6 months tax.i would have had to wait for him to tax it so i said i will tax it and got the car for £450.needs a new front tyre but its only £25.drove it home and it drives faultless, gears are smooth,in 2nd gear at low speeds there none of this juddering like i had on vauxhall and escort. really pleased with it for a work car.it even has a tow bar with electrics too.seems to have plenty of poke.picks up real well.just like riding a crest of a wave of torque.got 4x electric windows.electric mirrors.sunroof.radio cassette player, and best of all it has a din size cassette holder for 6 cassettes. done some research on internet.this is a cassette just got insured fully comp for £309 cheaper than escort.also found out i have 9 years no claims too. 1993 NISSAN PRIMERA 2.0 Occasion 5dr Hatchback Special Eds Features: function openWindow(url, windowName, features) {window.open(url, windowName, features); } 78,000 miles Manual RED Petrol 5 Door Hatchback L reg (1993)Full Description: Manual, 78,000 miles, 78000 miles.12 months mot.6 months tax.stunning bright red with colour coded bumpers.sun roof.service history.rear wash wipe.5 speed manual gearbox.4 electric windows.power steering.electric mirrors.radio cassete.front centre arm rest.height ajustable steering wheel.height ajustable.drivers seat.runs and drives excellent.must be seen please ring for more details. £575. px poss plans thinking of going for a full boot install, full mobile drinks making set up with colour coded tea coffee and sugar jars.and some cup holders made from mdf with easy wipe clean surface.and maybe a place to make sarnies.also if there is enough room a biscuit tin & cake tin all colour coded like my bumpers. still got some ideas going round in my head. got the £4.99p front and rear rubber matts i bought from lidl to transfer from escort to nissan power.also the cig lighter is missing in the nissan so may transfer the one from the escort into the nissan so i have a bit of ford in the nissan to remind me of where i have come from will post all mods in future heres to the mighty nissan, hope we have many happy times together. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:Tdkc60cassette.jpg

-
should have them grub screws to block all unused holes.when i fitted mine the pipe work was a bit on the tight side.was not long enough when it came to mounting it on fuel filter location screw.

line lock kit is great and about £80 it locks front wheels better than all effort trying to hold car on foot brake.guy at santapod said your wasting your time doing a burbout on street tyres. its easy to do a burnout stick it in 1st hold footbrake hard and start to rev car till they spin move it into 2nd gear. carefull not to do too long or you could heat fluid too much

10 Downing Street Response to pay as you drive tax...
MONKEYmark replied to ManwithSupra's topic in Supra Chat
some great posts here. i travel 10 miles each way to work do 3 12 hour shifts and any overtime.it takes me about 30 mins each way in car.a guy who lives up road catches 2 buses to work and takes over an hour each way and he has to do 12 hours work.its a long day on public transport for him. all these taxes are crazy.its like your pay rise dont go up to cover all the basics you need to live.petrol keeps going up.its like you got to work harder and harder so they can take more off you. look at how much gas and electric has gone up and they drop rice 17% and think they giving you something back. i voted labour when they got in power i thought they might do something for the hard working people who get off there arse and work.never again will i vote for them. they never listen and seem so arrogant.i once went on a bus,it bleeding stunk and i felt dirty.places like the ikea complex up near my work are a waste of time going to as the huge amount of traffic is so bad. GET THE FOOKERS OUT i was proud when all the fuel protests were about years ago.like country was standing up and saying enough is enough. -
cant you get it done on insurance with a small excess.i would have thought a rear window will be about £500-700 contact steve manley he offers discounts.or nic he could give you a price so you have an idea what you looking at
-
i have a spare rear window.just a matter of getting it fitted.a rear hatch was on here for £100+ other day

Installing A Fan On My Tranny Coolers
MONKEYmark replied to terribleturner's topic in mkiv Technical
the th400 box i bought from mig.he threw in a couple of big coolers and both have spal fans and -6 braided oil lines with -10 braided line connecting the 2 coolers.he made some custom undercar mounting brackets. i was going to go with getting a custom stock auto box extended tranny pan to hold more fluid but for the cost of the custom tranny pan i did not think it would be much use on stock auto box,so got a nos kit instead. good to see all the custom work people do -
i got envy to do my stock wheels and a set of 19`s done in black years ago.i like them on silver car. the stock wheels were a dull finish.the 19`s came out a smooth shiny surface that were easy to clean.

ill have it
