??????????????????????/ Thats why ive posted?? Dont suppose someone with a standard steering wheel could post up a pic to show me. The previous owner had a momo wheel on it so i am assuming that the wiring has been left on momo boss?? I would help if i knew what i was missing??? Mike

Its actually better in the flesh!! i'm not a great lover of huge exhausts and he did go a little bonkers but thats why he did it he wanted something that caused a reaction and it does that well. Good cars, its a shame i didnt get a "normal" supra then i could have compared the 2 cars but my 300 was standard'ish body engine average modded but my soop is just mental Mike

May order some of the toyo street legal slicks for piece of mind, i know they wont last long but hey better than killing yourself!! Mike

I must have joined the wrong club is this the blue oyster bar club ??

Must admit i have noticed mine is a little tail happy and thats coming from an ex 300zx owner!! Not sure if its the tyres or just the sheer amount of power the car has but even in a straight line doing 80 odd and if you floor it in 4th or 5th the rears just spin and the back end comes out...kinda fun but also kinda scary the only thing i would say is it feels easy to control prob more so that in the 300. Sorry to keep asking questions The car at certain revs has a rattling noise so jacked it up yesterday to listen when i noticed that there was exhaust fumes coming from halfway down the exhaust so i gets further under to investigate to find that the titanium exhaust runs from the backbox then all the way to about 2/3 way dow the cat then goes into the other system but the titanium pipe sleeves over the other and is not connected so hence at a certain rev it moves slightly and touched the other bit and also lets exhaust gas's out? why would this be is there a reason why it would have been done? i wouldnt have thought that whoever made the titanium exhaust made it all with near perfect welds and really is a piece of art then thought sod it cant be arsed fitting it to the other?? but also cant think of anything else and i'm sure it wont pass an MOT like that. Cheers guys Mike

No its was a dark colour probably black. Couldnt have missed you by much then either Mike

Got on at the M55 junction looked pretty standard but had some nice rims on?? This is my first spot since i have has a supra so was nice to see one but the driver didnt flash even though i put my hazards on to say hi? Must have been the dodgy spoiler wasnt it?? Mike

Cheers for that Paul i may take you up on that until i'm up and running with the knowledge. Muffleman - as far as i can see all that weas taken off was the rev counter that was mounted on the dash, in the pic they had water injection but it was just a demo and not installed infact they had it still on the board that is seen in one of the pics on there. Just spent today working on the car and the more time i spend on it the more i like it I dont know if i will keep it as its very very extreme and not an easy car to drive but i will get it looking right body wise, get that ugly black rear sprayed back to the original red, already done some other work on the untidy bits and bobs but the next thing to do is a AEM ecu and a mapping session at thor then i will see how it feels and if i really like it and want to keep it then i must change the clutch cos thats whats making it hard work as its a multi plate clutch so its either on or off and not much in between but its good for launches which i suppose thats what its designed for, but i'm thinking of the RPS carbon -carbon clutch as they can handle 1000+ bhp and have a stock like feel so i think its needs that. Cheers from a happy supra owner...so far Mike

So i need to get another 2mm headgasket like i had on my 300zx i will get 2 bar out of the bitch Mike
-
Yeh thats what i thought its actually not a bad discovery!! saying that talk about laaaaaaaag nothing until about 4000 rpm then all hell breaks loose it just burned rubber when it cam on boost in 3rd last night so i need to be careful Also Ian why can you not run them over 1.4 bar?? surely if its mapped correctly and its getting enough air and fuel then you shouldnt have a problem? I know loads of people running 2 bar on skylines/scoobies/EVO's etc so why not a supra? Cheers Mike

Only one thing and thats the turbo he advertised it as a T88-34D but its actually a 33D!! even when i pointed it out he wouldnt believe me infact he phoned up someone to ask why?? but TBH it doesnt bother me 33 or 34D there bother huge and more than enough for any power i would want!!. Apart from that not really everything is as it was advertised from what i remember so unless i find anything that really worries me i would consider it to be a bargain infact i bet i could break it and get more than i paid for it!! I also want to crack open the block to see what work has been done in there as thats the only other area that i like to have bullet proof but saying that i have been told the supra engine is about as strong as you can get unmodified but i see a stroker kit on the horizon :flame Dev You should hear the thing it sounds like a le-man car as its got a 4" titanium exhaust from front to back!! the neighbours love me Mike
-
I'm not suprised it is low it is only set at just over 1 bar of boost!! i know that turbo can run about 40 psi - if you were mad enough or didnt want your car to last lol but i plane to get it upped to 1.7 - 2 bar once it has been mapped my thor and then see what she is putting out. I would have thought with the right mods and mapping that turbo should be good for 700+?? according to greddy its good for 1000 bhp but that is the US site and we all know their BHP is a little different Found another problem it scrapes on my drive only just but i need to get the car higher on the coilovers asap or i wont have a front bumper left Mike
-
TBH i am finding more and more mods the more i look, its got a billet fuel rail of some make not sure who by and it looks like the oil filter has been relocated to the very front of the car, saying that for all i know it may be meant to be there But yeh its had alot of money spent and it has all the best mods done but the ECU still concerns me so i will get that done first to be safe. Cheers Mike
-
Yeh i bought it in the end!! very cheap poss too cheap but hey i think it was worth the risk as it does have some great mods and bolt ons. Yeh its a little rough round the edges and needs a few things but all in all its good i like it, drives very well, has a few niggles which i will sort but too good to miss!! Go on someone is going to tell me now that its going to blow up the next time i drive it...lol Just need a little tlc and a good mapping session at thor which it will get very soon apart from that its got more on it than the guy eith said or knew which i think the second one!! the guy i dont think knew much about the car or cars in general there a RX specialist so this was new to them. I think all in all once its been tidied up it will be a monster. The only thing that worries me at the moment is the drivebility of the thing, the clutch is extreme and below 2.5-3k its a bit rough which may be because of the cams or maybe just the fact it needs a good tune/map If anyone knows anything then please let me know Many thanks Mike
-
Also forgot to ask the speedo is still in KPH what the best thing to do get it converted? if so whos is best to use? Cheers guys and gals Mike
-
I agree that why i will prob see peter at thor and get him to stick it on the dyno pack and see whats going on!! The stupid thing with the glove bit thats missing is i have seen a pic with it on and theres nothing in it!! so they have either broke it or nicked it for another car!!?? Will check the tyre pressure tomorrow, tbh i set off to pick up the cat at 6am this morning and got back in it at 8.30pm after a 330mile journey home!! took it easy but did put it in full boost on my private stretch of the M6!! and it was like a jet plane wow as much as i like my 300's i never heard one sound like that!! Will do a search on ECU coded Many thanks for your replies Mike
-
No its running a trust T88 single. I dont think its been set up properly in this country for our fuel IMO but i am thinking of changing the ecu as i dont know whats in it and its a dangerious thing not knowing so what controlling your car!! what programmable ecu's would you recommend?? Also is there any good people who sell used parts for the missing bits?? Thanks again Mike
-
Its running large injectors 850cc if i read japanese right!!?? The car itself seems to be fueling fine in the higher range but under 3k very lumpy i think its gonna need a new remap but could this "lumpyness" cause the ECU to throw up a fault? Please ignor my stupidity i just havnt a clue...yet about supras but will pick up quick!! Cheers Mike
-
Great figures Can i ask what ECU you got?? Many thanks Mike
