I know what you mean, last time I went snowboarding we had a chalet with a sauna and had competitons to see who could stay in the longest after chucking loads of water on the coals, the hottest it got in there was probably 60 degrees if that!

I don't really understand your problem Eric. Take a look around your house, your PC/Laptop, LCD screen, Plasma screen, Digital Camera, DVD player, MP3 player, games console and mobile phones most of which are probably made in China, you would buy these hi-tech gizmo's (probably unkowingly) but wouldn't consider a few chinese aluminium rings! Nearly everything you buy nowadays is made in China and the quality is top class, you've just got to accept it.

Some people have bought bicycle brake cable from Halfords and used that, I wouldn't fancy fiddling around trying to fit it though. I replaced the complete unit, paid £25 for a 2nd hand one. 2nd hand you're looking at £25 - £50 for the unit. Brand new £150+ When fitting the new one, mark where the old unit bolts to the glass, since fitting mine back in March I have never been able to line up the glass pefectly despite trying millions of times, I've now given up and have to live with wind noise
