  1. Wohoo, congrats all round!
  2. I'm sure this car has made an appearance on here before, I recognise the wonky spoiler and suspicious staines on the seats
  3. Mate you're not having the best of luck with that beast are you Hope it's something easy (and free) to fix.
  4. Nice feedback! "an absolute cocknose!"
  5. I've been told before at a RR that it works out drivetrain losses by measuring the resistance offered to the rollers when the engine is winding down from max revs - it made sense at the time, but I've since heard several times that that's complete rubbish What's more the rolling road operator who told me that has been known to produce somewhat "interesting" results on supras, especially autos.
  6. This isn't going to help you much now that it's back in the garage, but my active spoiler did this ocassionally, especially from cold. It would sound like it was trying to self-test. I usually made it go away by turning the active spoiler off for a min then back on. I think a few others have had this problem before but it generally goes away. Was that vague enough?
  7. Barryboys is now a hangout of people who's lives haven't turned out quite how they wanted, and as a result are jealous of anyone with a car remotely better that theirs. Seriously, any forum started merely to express hate for something isn't going to attract the best of characters!

    Turbo

LOL, "Check our feedback"..... what, all 0 comments of it!
  9. Yeah Paul, I'm looking forward to being able to stop! How much fluid do I need for a change then? Is 1.5 litres enough? edited: Never mind, just found my answer
  10. Really don't like that, any smoothness that supra had through Toyota's design has been lost
  11. Haha yeah, can't hurt to have some in reserve
  12. LMAO, look at the world map on page4!!!!!
  13. I bloody hope so, they came in the right boxes etc
  14. Finally got all the bits together I need to fit this lovely lot; Many thanks to Nic for the disks / calipers at veeeerrrryyyyy good prices Chris Wilson for the pads, fluid and lines (all delivered quickly too!) and Envy for the longer studs (again quickly sorted and delivered). Now maybe I'll be able to stop from 100+ leptons!
  15. Cool, nice one, thanks again Looks like a much easier job than I've been told! Then again Toyota also told me it'd cost £420 + VAT to fit new calipers, disks, pads, lines and fluid Jake have you ever thought of writing a "how to search" guide? Every time I ask a question you get the answer on a thread I couldn't find
  16. Really? I've been told it's a garage job due to needing specialist equipment!!!! Is it really worth paying someone else to do or is it just a "get your hands dirty" job? Thanks Jake.
  17. This may be a completely n00b question, but do you have to remove the front hubs in order to change the wheel studs? I'm having longer ones fitted and the answer to this will determine how much it'll cost....... And roughly how long does it take to do, with the proper machinery?

    5th Gear

A lot of it's blatent padding so the show lasts an hour.... but then again if it means more VBH then bring it on
  19. Ian I agree with you completely. I've seen people who went to the same schools as me and had nearly the same upbringing turn into nothing more than a boil on the arse of humanity. At some point in our lives we've all been faced with temptation and turned away from it - IMO upbringing is NOT an excuse for stealing a car (and yes, that includes the passengers if they knew it was stolen). And I'm suprised that no-one's asked the obvious.... how the hell did a metro with five people in it get up to 100mph? Was the police car pushing it down the road?
  20. 26% gay Personally I think that's a bit high!
  21. The boost controller can limit the boost to 1 bar at the mo because you still have the front cat in to control it... so 1 bar is probably the lowest you can run right now. When you take the front cat out the lowest possible boost will be raised, probably above the safe 1.2 limit unless you fit a restrictor ring.
