  1. Agreed, my MR2 gets tucked away for the winter etc but it stays taxed, insured and ready to rock should the sun show it's face
  2. Bought mine from here, sold mine on here.

    mr2 turbo

They are cracking little cars mate, and can be upto interesting bhp without breaking the bank. Mid engined, RWD and at least 220bhp depending on revision. Not expensive to buy or maintain either. But obviously a Supra's better (Matt adds quickly as he remembers where he is )
  4. That's truly grim, and a 'gnk exaust system sprayed chrome' !!! Er, a chrome sprayed exhaust ?!?
  5. I worked it out on my old Supe, and it wasn't much better than 14mpg , but that was local driving and weekends etc.
  6. Thanks mate, that's good enough for me. Right, time to sell the beemer and buy a Supe
  7. Hi all, Okay, this has got me thinking. I would love another Supe, but my next one was gonna be a big project car. However, project currently on hold for boring reasons I know it's a sensitive subject for those selling, but prices are really low. I could buy a relatively standard turbo for to and from work, not be the sad git I usually am with cars (spending a day polishing it etc) and just enjoy a standard Supra everyday. Now I know what the MPG was like on my BPU+ TT, but what sort of MPG does a standard TT manage ? My work journey is predominantly motorway with some wiggly bits at either end Cheers Matt PS. Getting excited about having another Supra
  8. Like I said, if anyone wants my 740i - I'd buy it !
  9. It's a members car ! http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=46411&highlight=red Anyone want my 1999 BMW 740i ?!?
  10. Bloody hell, my next Supra was gonna be a project car, but I think I might get a TT Supra for 'to and from work' and just say bollocks to the petrol prices !!!
  11. If YOU want to do it mate, do it. I have no doubt that there are people who look at CJ's car and ask why, yet I think it looks great. If you go green, you will have the same. As for resale value, if you change the car in any way from standard, you could affect the resale value. Yes you will narrow your resale market, but then you may find someone who will love it and pay over the odds because they would rather have a car in a different colour as opposed to a regular colour like silver, red, black etc. Just long as you don't expect to recoup the respray money come sale time. I have recently had my MR2 resprayed in a green and it has really divided opinions. I had some friends look at it yesterday and for the most part they thought it looked amazing, and great that it's different. Yet one friend of mine simply couldn't work out why I did it ! But I did it because I wanted to, bollocks to resale and all that Oh, and I had three people take pics of it on their phones whilst it was parked up for half an hour at Tescos yesterday. It's a difficult choice mate, and an expensive one to get wrong, but it's your car. If you like the colour then why not !!! All the best mate, it's not an easy decision Matt
  12. I can't believe he has bids on his other auctions !!!
  13. 800hp as per Tim Porters guesstimate ? Probably equates to about 420bhp max
  14. A genuine TRD car ? Back to the '2 eh Matt
  15. Hopefully not a dreaded http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Back-to-the-Future-BTTF-time-machine_W0QQitemZ4573012481QQcategoryZ9873QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem What a pile of shite
  16. 'You'll get screwed at the pump, so bring your vaseline'
  17. I stopped worrying about pump prices ages ago. I'm a petrolhead, I'm gonna piss away most of my hard earned at the pumps, but I enjoy what I get out the other end. I do think pump prices are extortionate, especially when you see the amount that is tax. But me complaining about the price of petrol is kinda like Lisa Riley complaining about the price of burgers I went out to buy a 'to and from work' car ie diesel or petrol sipper, and I came home with a 4.4 litre V8 So I tend not to think about the pump prices TOO much
  18. I really shouldn't clutter your thread with chat , but interested to see where you go from here. I have the RX7 on my shopping list for the future, and an R34 Skyline GTR....just not yet, still tinkering with the MR2 whilst I decide
  19. Nice car mate and well looked after, hope you get what you want for it. So what 'tickles your fancy' as a replacement ?
  20. Prices seem good too. I did an Elise day at Thruxton recently, and thoroughly enjoyed myself.
