  2. Yep that was the problem with mine. Was a bit low...topped it up and it was fine.
  3. All I gota say about those wheels is Bangin Man the rears are mad wide.... You guys gota see a pic from behind to see how wide it is ............am talkin about the tires by the way for those of you with one track minds
  4. Checked my brake fluid last night and it is quite low....closer to the min marker than the max marker so that appears to be the problem. I didn't have time to check the brake pads as well but will do soon.
  5. Yes I get the triangle light too at the same time. Will check it all tonight and let you know what I find. Hopefully that its all in which case we can sort it......
  6. Cheers mate.....will check that
  7. Need views from the technical Gurus amongst us Just noticed over the last week my hand break light comes on when I break (foot break) hard Any ideas??
  8. Mine was lookin a little on the dirty side but sounds just as sweet Hey we do that route around that time quite often so if you see us next time give us a shout........if you can catch up :flame Dev
  9. By the way guys you'll need to be member of mkivsupra.co.uk to get the 10% discount at Jem. I think ama go ahead and get it done as have had the car for 6 months now and done 6,000 miles so its my first service on the car. Get all major work out of the way at a major jap imports garage...and pay amount this time. Toyota quoted £180 for a timing belt change? Dam but have been advised not to take import Sups to Toyota...not sure why
  10. Is that an all inclusive price guide JohnK? Know any proper garages around west London?
  11. My car (1994 NA with nearly 50k miles) just got booked at Jem Service to have the follwoing done at these prices: 'A' Service - £189 Timing Belt Change - £225 Fan Belt Change - £63 - They recommended I change this as it will have to be removed any way as part of the timing belt change excersise. Total - £477 This includes parts, labour and VAT + 10% discount for BBS members They claim to be experts on Jap imports and their garage is impressive. Any comments welcome.
  12. Welcome by the way...........fantastic choice of car Assuming the car is in as good a condition as you are told it is and the milage is verified....I think upto £11k would be very good value.... Note I aint a car dealer just love these cars man
  13. I think I know the dude
  14. I replaced my back rear lights on my 94 NA with new face lift ones and had no problem with the wiring. It was a straight fit.
  15. Ok guys since there seemed to be some confusion on which oil to use I contacted Jemca. Their view is that use of fully synthetic oil (zero viscosity) on older cars i.e. around 10 years old will make them smoke a lot. They recommend the use of semi-synthetic oil like Shell Helix Plus 10W 40 or something similar on older Supras. Newer supras can take Shell Helix Ultra which is fully synthetic. Am having an oil filter and oil change done this weekend was thinkin of using their recomendation unless I get STOP from someone on the forum.
  16. Puttin budget aside ....which is the best oil to use then cus it looks like not everyone knows.
  17. Its time to cus its people so to sort this out am I right in thinkin any Fully Synthetic engine oil will do?
  18. Show Off:p She gona look Maaaaaaaad Gooooooooooood! Can't wait to see it too. You know I might pop in while you away and take a peak.
  19. Yep thats why am slighty ish about it all. I topped up the oil the other day and put half a litre of Shell Helix Plus which is semi-synthetic because the Helix Ultra (more suittable for performance engines and recommended by Ferrari) which is fully synthetic says its for engines less than 10 years old.....not sure of the difference
  20. Whats the best engine oil to use on a 1994 Supra? Before anyone mentions I did do a search and found nothin. Lookin to have the engine oil and filter changed but wanted to know which oil peeps recommend. Castrol maybe?
  21. Hi all! I am looking for an AA approved mechanic who knows about auto transmition systems for a Supra SZ. I might need an independant check done on my car and a report written for a possible claim. Anyone know someone?
  22. Do I need to have run the engine or gear box quite a lot before I smell it or can I doo it from Cold?
  23. Cheers mate! Well put it this way I wouldn't want a dodgy job done on the car because it'll make my warranty void plus will break down and cause me more grief anyways. Whateber is wrong will have to be fixed.... question is what is wrong and who will pay for it? I'll post up findings once Toyota's import sports car specialists (Jemca) look at it this Friday. It might become lesson learnt for other Auto owners....am just hoping it won't be at my expense. I have my whole body crossed
  24. Maaaaaaaaaaaaan am not getting any good news at all :( What makes you say its seriously shot mate? Hove you experienced somin like this? What is it likely to be? the TC, GB or both? Yeah it was serviced 2K miles ago and the dealer apparently carriedout a detailed inspection on arrival ofthe car and prior to selling it.
