  1. I hope its what you say it is. The car is going to Jemca this Friday for inspection and ATF change. Mr Chris Wilson is saying that if the oil is brown then its more than just a knackered oil....its burnt components in the bear box.....which can cost thousands....serious bummer since I've only had the car for 3 weeks or so. Do you know if the dealer holds any liability? I believe my warranty says that if the defect was present at time of sale then its not covered as they would expect the dealer to have inspected these parts prior. Dealing with dealers and waranty companies is like I'll let yo'll know. In the mean time I think all Auto owners should check their ATF since it can be a very exoensive item.
  2. Wait wait wait I know this one...... TC is Torgue Converter I think which is effectively the clutch on a manual....I think The traction control I think is built in an NA and hence you can't switch it off... Am startin to learn a little about these machines man....check me out.
  3. Thanks guys:) Looks like this oil needs changing and am lookin to get it done this weekend....
  4. ATF? Someone thinks it might be the Torgue Convertor oil needs changing. I run the car for a while and checked the oil and its dark brown and I believe it should be redish in colour.
  5. Thanks Supraguy! How do you fix that? More importantly is it expensive?
  6. Hi guys! I have an NA auto and over the last couple of days am sure I have expirienced power loss. 1) When trying to accelerate the rev goes up rapidly but the speed doesn't. 2) Once the speed picks up the rev drops fast and hence the acceleration drops again. It doesn't do it all the time as well..........sometimes its fine....am confused. My first guess was the gearbox. Has anyone else had the misfortune to expirience this? Does anyone know whay this is happening. The car is under warranty so am not extremely worried at this point. Any help will be appriciated.
  7. Thanks mate.............got it!
  8. Thanks guys for the reply but must be havin a day as its Friday cus am not fully clear. Am I right in thinkin 200SX is sayin keep it on generally but from what I understand of Mawby's comments this prevents the box changing to 4th gear....i.e. higher revs. But the rev drops when you turn overdrive on........... Please make it idiot proof. Am with you on the overtakin and accelerating part cus the power increase is obvious when you turn it on i.e. the display on the dash is turned off. I am an Engineer by trade although you wouldn't know it by this thread......
  9. Being a relatively new owner of a NA Supra and being new to automatic transmission:eek:, am still tryin to figure out how to best use the OVERDRIVE button to get the best performance. ...you know tryin to find her buttons and get her goin faster All yo NA owners out there and other wise heads......can you tell me: For good performance is it better to turn it on afetr you reach a certain Rev. or from the start? For drivin (cruzn) around town is it better to turn it off? Does it affect fuel consumption?
  10. Flyer is off the hook......like it! you obviously have a lota time on your hands......... Whacha say we change the name of the meet to Distubin the Peace?????
