  1. Lee they are nice wheels mate. I might need to get some of those. I have Veilside split rims but are only 17" and look like trolley wheels in on the big arched Supe They look like a good replacement.
  2. That was the reason I asked mate coz I saw it in Cambridge too the other day. I thought it may be you.
  3. James has your supe got a stripe on the roof?
  4. Nick thanks, this could be the problem. When the mechanic took one of the wheels off he said that the red plastic spacer snapped. He tried to fix it and said it would be OK but maybe it is at the end of its useful life. I'm going to try to source some metal ones that won't squash when the wheel is put back on and tightened up. I'll let you know what the results are. Cheers guys
  5. I have a problem with the front end vibrating at 'higher' speeds. I guess it is a long shot but some of you may be able to help. At this 'higher speed' the front end vibrates quite badly in a vertical/up and down type motion (as if you are driving over those raised yellow lines approaching a roundabout) Most of the feedback is coming from the steering wheel but some through the pedals and seat. The bonnet is also going up and down. I have recently had a full service, all 4 brake pads replaced so the wheels were removed and refitted. From the symptoms is it likely to be: Suspension? Dodgy plastic wheel spacers? Balancing? Tracking? Alignment? Car falling in half due to the targa top? Non standard front spoiler lip that relaced the active one, ie aero dynamics? Please help chums it is bothering me. :conf: :conf: PS, Terminator if you could spare the time I'll pop round and give you a demo.
  6. The down pipe replaces the first cat at the engine end of the car.
  7. Hmmmmm, looking like the downpiepes then. Thanks for your comments guys.
  8. Hmmmmm. Don't know what to go for....... BC = Guaranteed 18 psi on demand More money Harder to fit More insurance Down Pipes = Not guaranteed 18 psi (maybe 17 max) Less money Easier to fit Less insurance MOT problems What do ya reckon folks???
  9. Yeah that does make sense Adam. The fulcrum of the twist in my car definitely feels to be between the front half and the rear halves. Would that horizontal rear seat leg area 'Do-luck crossbar' from PW do the job or do you reckon the only thing to do it is a front to back stiffening system guys?? (Apart from welding the flippin roof back on) Paul W if you are reading where on earth does that thing connect to? Looks tricky!
  10. I have a targa and it is twisty as hell. When I first took the roof off after buying it I was quite disturbed. I think I'll be in touch Paul W to get some of those £168 Cuscos. I'll let you all know what difference there is (if any).
  11. I was just wondering the exact effects that this part has on a Supe. Does it reduce roll/twist? Does it help you car to corner better? Is there a noticeable difference after fitting one? What are the best ones? Cheers PS My god the weather is so crap in this country!
  12. Paul, I have recently done this with the help of 'Terminator'. It took me a while to figure out what to do but it is simpler than it seems. A. Get a clock hole gauge (see pic) they are made to fit B. You just need some extra 6mm vacuum hose from a dealer or wherever to connect your boost pressure sensor to the exisitning tubes (see pic) C. You need to find a good place to mount the sensor. I went for a digital gauge coz it lights up red and has maximum value recall. (Red button on pic) However I think the analogue gauges look better if you get one that matches your speedo faces etc.
  13. Sorry to hijack the thread chaps. Martin. Silly question but why did you buy the induction kit? I was looking at a Blitz SUS but some people say it has reverse effeccts on performance. Like poor filtration and increasing temps. Were you impressed with your purchase?
  14. Mate I ain't made of money Besides if it gets me to and from 18psi that's all I need right? What is so good bout those Blitzies? Do they have 0-60 ometers and stuff?
  15. Hi Flavio, how much was your HKS EVC please?
  16. I was going to leave the first cat in because: 1. Potentially my minimum boost could go up to an uncontrollable 22psi (danger!) Would need restrictor ring fitted 2. Hassle at MOT time 3. Noise 4. Couldn't decrease boost if needed (wet weather or when the missus is behind the wheel etc) By having a boost controller I can still reach what seems to be a safe maximum pressure (safe as in stock cooling) 18 psi and maybe pass an MOT with the first cat still in. I didn't realise removing it aided cooling though Chris that is interesting. I guess all that hot stuff trying to squeeze through the cat wouldn't have to hang around as long?
  17. Nice one Nick. You're not anywhere near Wanchai are you? I was there not so long ago. Some bar called Coyote I think, full of us gueilos Anyway this HKS Boost controller how much did yours cost you? Can you have 3 settings? ie 1. OFF stock=boost, 2.=LOW setting 3.=HIGH setting. What does the high setting go up to?
  18. Cheers JB. Cheers Flavio. I have a boost gauge already that is how I knew I needed more boost because I am running at only 13 psi
  19. Hi, How do I know when I need more than stock cooling. This is my situation: I'm thinking of getting a boost controller to take me between current 13 psi up to 18 psi because my supe still seems slow after removing the mid cat for an HKS pipe and fitting a Nur spec R exhaust. Do I also need to get a re-mapped ECU to sort the fueling out before fitting a boost controller? I'll probably need a fuel cut defenser too. Should I get ERL water injectors just in case I run too hot or is their a 'measurable indication' that shows you need extra cooling. Is it a case of not needing to buy any cooling mods until that indication happens? Please let me know your learned thoughts.
  20. So is a K&N element droppped in the existing closed box a good buy or just like taking out £60 from the cash point and feeding it to the swans? Will it enhance anything for me at all (apart from the noise;) ) Cheers COME ON ENGLAND!
  21. OK now please educate me folks. Some people say it is a waste of time/money. Some people don't. Question 1. What are the performance gains of fitting an after market air sucker (ie HKS powerflow or Blitz SUS). In lamens terms please. Is £200 a good spend or is it just a gimic that makes bugger all difference? I heard that filtration is poor on non standard systems so why should I get one boys and girls?
  22. Perfect info Pete thanks a million. Do you think my stock air box is preventing me from getting an extra psi or 2? I was thinking of the Blitz SUS induction kit with dust sheild plate. Would this be a good idea better than the standard system or not worth bothering with? All the best
  23. Thanks a lot Pete and everybody else too. I'll check for leaks but it's looking like I 'll need a flippin boost controller next Could I do the following with a boost controller fitted: a) Keep it at 14 psi when raining b) Put it up to say 18 when I need/want to hammer it. Is 18psi a safe limit with stock cooling system? Cheers:
