  1. I put the billies on my last Supra and I like them, the springs.. well time will tell whether I can stand it for long or not, but I paid more than this for my last set of second hand Bilstein's, so it seemed like a daft opportunity to miss.
  2. I'll take them. What can we do about postage?
  3. Could be low on gas but just not too low for it to engage.
  4. Try to turn on the aircon. If the compressor doesn't engage (revs don't rise, no 'clunk'), then it needs regassing. Highly likely it will need gassing, btw.
  5. That's a bit cheap for decently-wide polished lip rims, isn't it? Doesn't say if they're forged or not though. They look nice enough.

    rear bushes

They're fixed into the wishbones/control arms I think. You can buy rubber ones from that Lexus chappie in Australia (I think he has a UK distributor), or poly ones (squeak squeak), but I'm pretty sure I heard it was a tough job to press them in/out.
  7. This reminds me of something I've been wanting to ask for ages... Why does nobody ever use the Ciggy feed for powering things? All the write-ups I've read regarding boost gauges etc say to use the clock feed. The ciggy feed has enough power to supply bloody 240v invertors etc so why not use that?
  8. A mechanical one would raise boost across the whole speed/gear range though, so I'd overboost in higher gears. A "ball and spring" type supposedly shouldn't, but I had a bad experience with those POSs.
  9. Having sized my restrictor ring apprioriately, I'm still not happy with the performance I'm getting. The car hits its maximum of 18psi at very high speed in top gear on the motorway. Below that, it sees perhaps 16.5 psi-ish. In first & second gear, it doesn't see more than 15psi. So, I guess I need an electronic boost controller which will bypass the wastegate to obtain 18psi in the lower gears, and still make sure I don't go above 18psi in the higher gears. That's right isn't it? Any recommendations? I want something that I can set and forget, and hide any controls inside the dash below the radio so you don't actually know it's there.
  10. It seems more like a competitor to WorldPay, not PayPal. There's no "internet money" involved, e.g. you can't just sell something and keep the money in your Google Checkout account, and then spend that money later on, can you? It's (to quote) "a wrapper for regular credit and debit card transactions"
  11. The best in terms of remote tech-support, along the lines of PC Anywhere but much more efficient and reliable (is anything Symantec reliable?!) would be NetSupport Manager. (http://www.netsupportsoftware.com/). I've used it for probably six years or so, and it's always been great.
  12. This would be an interesting fact to know What's the answer then? £120k ?
  13. Cool. What're you learning? Are you in a Supra?
  14. "Trans axle: r154" means it has the 5spd manual R154 gearbox, as found in the mk3 Supra.
  15. Yup that was me It's gunmetal, and I was working my way through the footie traffic to a job in Salford Quays. The wheels are actually gunmetal as well, but very dirty
  16. If people keep translating for and putting up with the degenerates then they'll just carry on invading the place.

    Heli's

Cool! I've just brought up that site now (you slightly mis-spelled the url ) I was talking about model helicopters though I have my mind set on a T-Rex 450SE v2 for the next one, although it's a lot smaller than the Sceadu.

    Heli's

I had one before (a Sceadu 30) and I got fed up of crashing it so I sold it after the last smash. Now I'm kitting up for another one Just ordered a PCM 9x mk2 transmitter and a copy of Phoenix simulator - I'm planning on flying pretend ones on my computer for the foreseeable future. Anyone else a 'pilot' ?
  19. My SLD is fitted by the ECU. My speed-convertor is fitted behind the speedo cluster though.
  20. I got my free upgrade to an N95 yesterday from Orange. After changing back to the default theme (from the Orange one) it looks pretty good. I'm disappointed that Nokia have locked out the Active Standby Plugins, which means I can't have new emails showing on the standby screen, although it does show the Calendar. I have had to pay (or will, still on 30 day trial) $50 for Roadsync, which uses Exchange ActiveSync to synchronise my calendar, inbox etc to my Exchange server account. I don't mind paying this, although it's yet another case of Nokia locking-out features from the N-series phones, so that their E-series phones are more suitable for business use - point being that on the E70 I use Nokia's free Mail for Exchange app to do all this. I don't mind paying the $50, and Roadsync does a better job anyway of dealing with different access points (can use WLAN in the house without having to reconfigure everything), but I am seriously fucked off about the Active Standby plugins issue. Movie recording is good (surprisingly good). I have a feeling Orange don't have any HSDPA infrastructure in place, but 3G is good-ish-enough for me for now anyway. TomTom 6 works, but it doesn't detect/see the integrated GPS device, so for now I'll still have to use the Bluetooth GPS device that I used on the E70, so that sort of defeats the point of getting it for its GPS abilities. Nokia's 'maps' app looks ok, but it's more drawn-out when it comes to navigating to a destination, and you have to pay if you want actual turn-by-turn navigation. Screen, although poor resolutions compared to my E70, which had/has unbelievable resolution (pin sharp), is very bright and appreciably large. The system seems much faster all round than my E70 - everything is quicker. I guess this unit has a faster CPU. Did I say I was really pissed off about the active plugins lockout? I am.
  21. Yeah. I used someone elses at school and it sounded so much better than the other Boss and Ibanez stuff that the other guys had, and my Zoom whatsit just had too many options I used to get the best sound by running my little Peavy 15w amp into the school's 200w Carlsbro keyboard amp I haven't played guitar in ages though (not properly.. I have a dabble at some ballady Vai stuff (Sisters..) and on Amanda's acoustic every now and then but I either sold or gave away every guitar I've bought (some nice-ish ones too!).
  22. But the box will still change down a gear in other situations, just depending on load and speed or what you do with the accelerator. Kickdown just forces a hard downshift but the car will still go from third to second in other situations..
  23. You're welcome! It's always nice finding out about a feature you didn't know the car had - I was pleased to find the petrol cap holder on the back of the flap/cover the other day after reading a post on here
  24. Oooh, the owners of the famous V6 Supra I bet they hate having that brought up all the time.
