    What a prick.

Pretty much. It talks SIP and H323. I actually thought about buying another the other day because you can use it by itself, so it could route an incoming 0845 number from SIPgate over to my Orange phone. All I'd have to do it set up a Sharer with Orange on my contact so it has free sharer-to-sharer calls.

    What a prick.

So, I sold this item : clicky on eBay on 5th February, after deciding I didn't have enough time for Asterisk and SIP telephony in general. I didn't post the item until two days after the auction ended, and I got a pissy pants whiny message crying that "it's just not fair. we paid you straight away, and we were going to buy ten more of these of you." To which I replied that I had a lot of work on, I had to find suitable packaging material, and I had flashed the firmware to the latest version for him since it had been out of use for some months, and that I didn't have ten to supply him anyway. No worries, he left positive feedback. Now I get this message from the whiny little bitch: to which I replied: Tosser, or not?

    How much?

The best colour, VVTi, manual. hmmm Mileage wouldn't bother me as I'm more likely to believe it as being genuine. If I had it, I'd be happy parting with ~£9,250 for that car.
  4. I wasn't far off then was I
  5. 'course not. I was wondering where it was myself else I'd have posted it again already.
  6. My battery is shite, and this hasn't had any impact on it at all. I notice when I open the boot that the radio goes all fuzzy, so I do wonder if it's bordering on not-enough power (current) (i.e. would I get even better reception with a proper 12v feed?). The only definate downside is that the aerial amplifier is designed with something like a 25yr life in mind, based on average usage per day. It it's on 24/7 then that life is dramatically decreased (to something like 5yrs from what the supplier said).
  7. Have you actually set up domain.com in the recipient policies?
  8. Would a standard Arial Atom have beat the Carrera GT on the 1/4 mile?

    Toluene

mmmmm. The carcinogenic/toxic factor is certainly greater than had crossed my mind. It's bad shit apparently.
  10. Does this mean that anybody spending the time to bypass the heater matrix with hoses etc, should really just turn a little tap in the engine bay - job done, properly?

    Toluene

Compression ratio. That's the one. So, run mega toluene mix, and raise the CR to ~9.5:1. Get better off-boost power. Sweet.

    Toluene

I'm reading an article which talks about 1987/1988 F1 and Honda's 1.5L V6 twin-turbo motor. Apparently they ran 84% toluene Could we do that then, and run super ultra lean, in theory? Run 4bar? (with appropriate turbo). What if any point would there be to this? Can toluene be had for less than £1/litre?
  13. I presume by not going on the hitlist, you mean not recorded. I can't see how they could write-off a car, but not record it. The two are the same aren't they? If they could pay out on it, but not record it, then it would be worth a lot more money and your buy-back price wouldn't be quite so attractive, particularly considering they have just agreed with you that it's worth £10k undamaged.

    Dashboard

You make it sound so easy! Isn't this the job that those who have done it say they would charge £1,000 to do next time (dash out in order to replace the heater matrix)?

    Dashboard

That's what I was thinking, although it might cost a lot in man-hours for him to remove it from the car unscathed.
  16. I just googled this: and this So be careful, best to check the user-guide of your particular head unit.
  17. I ran 12v off the boot light. Use a multimeter and you'll find that it's live constantly, which isn't the best since the life of the aerial amplifier will be reduced. Your amp remote feed will indeed be 12v, but I seem to remember reading that they only supply 500ma and that it was dangerous to the head unit to try to draw more than that.
  18. The bracket has been designed to fit the aerial kits from LoCustom.com You can buy the aerial from LoCustom.com and it'll be with you in next to no time. You would need to get the S2K adapter extension bar from Baz as well though.
  19. As I understand it, the only thing you can do with Sky cards is take part in a card sharing scheme. It still costs ~£40/month but you split it all between yourselves and copy the card. Unlike the Nagra encryption that NTL/Telewest/CW/Virgin use, Sky hasn't been hacked so to speak. I don't know anything about CAS or CAS Studio but reading and writing cards is no big deal I don't think.
  20. It was very clean. Still had stock alloys I think, but even the horns didn't look as ugly as they usually do
  21. Who was it then? Very sweet looking UK car, looked immaculate. Lowered with painted calipers. http://www2.css-networks.com/uksupra.jpg
  22. If anybody wants a stubby aerial, and missed the three parts to the group buy, then here's what you'll have to do to sort one out for yourself: Contact Burna and ask him if he's able to supply the laser-cut bracket. Contact Baz and ask him if he's able to supply the extension piece. Contact Mike @ LoCustom (contact details here: http://www.locustom.com/contact.htm ) and ask for one of the stubby aerials as supplied to Imi from the UK mkivsupra.net board. Explain that you have a source for the S2K Adapter bar and laser-cut bracket already. That about sums it up. Baz seems able to knock up the S2k Adapters as/when he gets time. Burna is relying on a friendly company he deals with for the laser-cut brackets, so it'd probably be best to find out the availability of those first. I hope I'm not causing a problem for Burna or Baz by suggesting people contact them, it just seems that a few people are starting to ask how/where they can get the kit after missing the somewhat extended group-buy.
  23. Ah, I missed the 2gb bit, and you're right, they pretty much all support PXE boot. There are loads of ways you could restore over a network (not that I've tried).
  24. Oh yeah, and it's certainly not what I'd call effective against viruses and other malware, since the viruses could go undetected until much later.
