  2. Shame I was supposed to pay Leon a visit this morning but could not make it...going tomorrow instead...always costs me a few quid though as I can't leave without persuading him to fit something for me..By the way saw your mkiii mate so don't panic...

Thanks for reply Chris...as I am not going to be spending thousands on mods just wondered if it was worth my while going full de cat or leave it as is with one out and nur spec pipe?Must admit most of what I have found on searching has gone against induction unless really going to town on engine..Can you or anyone suggest anything else for that "quick fix" or have I done it...Can I do anything else for good power gain now without going to mad...thanks in advance:)

CCheers Dude...see what your saying.Would you recommend another mod other than induction kit?Currently have Nur spec one cat out and HKS BOV..Really don't think I'll go for induction after doing another search on it...

Thanks for reply Dude..I don't want too go to mad on mods so would I be better just getting decent filter rather than complete induction kit?Excuse my ignorance but thought restrictor ring was only needed if I didn't get boost controller straight away....so boost could be set at safe level..With regards to power gain will full de cat be as noticeable as the nur and first decat?Any other suggestions on basic upgrades..cheers.

As alot of you know recently got nur spec pipe and second cat removed...Really noticed performance increase...Now looking to get other cat out,FCD and boost controller..what sort of gains will I get from removing last cat?Was also going to get induction kit although after searching there seems to be mixed reviews on them...Is the above the next logical move or something else..thanks
  9. Sorry to hear that mate...thats one of my main worries as mine is parked on the road..Slightest noise at night and I am at the window...Love to catch them doing it..I'd put some permanent marks on them! Hope you get sorted.
  10. I would recommend Leon at JPS in Bletchley...may be a bit further but excellent service and very helpful..good rates too.

I know what you mean mate..

    No new Supra!

I tend to agree with you Tom..don't think it will be long..(unlike Royal Mail!! Tom:devil: )
  13. Sounds good!I was going to go for the HKS but done a search and most seemed to slate it..
  14. Stu

    Decats?

It all makes sense when you see what they remove and then see the size and design of the de cat pipes that take their place...
  15. What induction kit you getting? As for the BOV I'm pleased with it as mentioned above it does sound slightly different..I have one cat removed and nur spec so it may be louder with last cat out and induction fitted..

    BOV on an Auto

JB will mine be that much louder after I've had the induction kit fitted..Don't want it too loud:)

    Decats?

It makes you do this a lot.. :D
  18. Has anyone tried the different inserts you can get or are they best left as they are?
  19. I couldn't get on this morning for two hours...
  20. I paid Leon a visit today to get an induction kit fitted but they had the non vvti one so thought it would be rude to leave without a purchase and opted for the hks ssqv also..Was fitted before I had finished paying for it...very pleased with the sound as its not silly loud and should help prolong the life of the turbos..Back again next week for induction then full de cat and boost controller...glad his place isn't local would cost me a fortune..great blokes and won't use anyone else now..excellent service with loads of help and advice:cool: ..I was told it was easy to fit but thought I would leave it to someone who knows..lol
  21. Well things looking up..Spoke to a few people and they seemed to think my log book is wrong as they are both 2997cc..so went and looked under the engine and sure enough it is!Get back on the phone to insurers and they say fine as long as its stamped on engine they will stand by quote of £750..great apart from the dope that processed the quote put in annual mileage of 4K...when I said about 8K..to be insured with an allowance 10K was an extra £100 with £500 excess or he would do it for £790 with a £700 excess...how sweet of him!Anyway at least its going to be under £900.Rob at A plan was really helpful but could only do £1190..basically its because I only have 3 years no claims and I'm not an old git like you Flash!LOL;) Should have it all in writing tomorrow I hope..Thanks for all your help though
  22. A plan shut so will try tomorrow and Admiral want £1230:eek:
  23. thanks flash and scooter..appreciated.
