Roughly what sort of BHP will I be running after I have last cat removed?Other mods are HKS BOV,HKS Induction,Uprated fuel pump,Colder plugs,Nur spec exhaust,FCD.

I am pretty much the same position as you mate..Having last cat removed on wednesday and new fuel pump and fcd fitted...I am also just going for restrictor ring at the moment as I have been told that 1.2 bar is plenty for the road and a safe level to stay at.Also funds are running low and decent Boost controllers aren't cheap!!Just hope the gains are as noticable as when I had the second cat removed..let me know how you get on..

Hello Nick...thats exactly how it felt...What do you think my car is boosting to at the moment with current mods?..How much for the restrictor and fuel cut?Wouldn't I be as well to get a boost gauge fitted and a controller?

didn't see any warning lights come on...mind you was concentrating on the car I was undertaking..just hoping that this is what it is...think I'll invest in a decent boost controller also..will need one eventually.Any recommendations...

Thanks for reply Michael but it is definitely not limited!!Have taken it beyond 160mph(Not on Public road!) several times and had readings in excess of 155 off my old road angel..spoke to JPS and they seem sure this is what it is and nothing to worry about but I was just a little surprised it didn't do it sooner.Its going in for service and cam belt next week so will get them to have a good look and probably get a fcd fitted..

Think I have just experienced this??Was accelerating and got to 120 and seemed like car died,then come back to life.99% sure this was the problem but my question is...is it usual for the car to do this after removing one cat and fitting a Nur?Also I thought it would have happened before now as this was done a few weeks back..was going to fit a fcd after I took last cat out..any help appreciated..only other mods are HKS induction and BOV...

Cheers for the replies..thanks you two..have mentioned it to leon and he is going to check her over when she goes in for service and cam belt..as I said its always when coming off throttle..Phew!

This sounds louder than a pop though its hard to explain...I think I know the sound your on about mate but this just one loud deep pop...not a series of pops ...

Have had the car do this 3-4 times in the past 2 weeks..Not quite as loud as a backfire but a very deep pop sound..Normally happens at about 3-3500rpm when I ease off the throttle...Any ideas..thanks in advance

Hello neil My car is going in this Friday for service and cam belt with Leon...I phoned last week so I would say you will be looking at a week or twos notice as he seemed quite busy..Best bet give him a call..To be honest its worth waiting..won't take mine anywhere else.
