  1. Yep that was my plan. But I'm a bit worried about blowing the engine up after speaking to Gaz when I was ordering the plugs
  2. Just to add... My plan was to wait and see if this setup triggered fuel cut, in which case I'll buy an FCC and get the restrictor ring on. If it doesn't trigger fuel cut then it would mean it's not going over 1 bar, so I should be safe. I didn't realise the stock plugs wouldn't be up to the job, but they're not too expensive so it doesn't matter much
  3. I got hold of a second hand double decat pipe so I got it put on yesterday. I still have the standard cat-back and the car is a j-spec. Do you think I need to get a restrictor ring on it? I thought I'd leave it out to see what kind of boost the cat-back was restricting me to. But my stock spark plugs won't let me boost too high, so I'm waiting on Denso's. So... should I take a chance and see what boost I get as it is, or should I play it safe and get the restrictor ring on? Cheers

  5. Same thing happened to me, it refused to calibrate. In the end I did it manually by spinning the wheels by hand.
  6. At least you got some free publicity this way
  7. Sounds interesting! Where can you buy it?
  8. I don't think the Jap spec is that bad... But I'd like to have a ride in a different setup to tell the difference. [Waits on an answer to first post ]
  9. It must have run over an exhaust, which then got stuck
  10. I just fitted my boost gauge to the clock position, but now i have a problem with reflections making it hard to read at times :-/ Is there any quick solution to this? Maybe some sort of anti-reflective coating I could apply? Cheers!
  11. Isn't it a bit hard to read when you're hitting max boost?
  12. Did you read this? http://www.mkiv.com/techarticles/boostguage/bg.htm
  13. Some links for ya: http://www.mkiv.com/techarticles/boostguage/bg.htm http://www.cargills.demon.co.uk/supra/mods.html#BoostGauge http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/attachment.php?s=&postid=20502 I'm gonna install mine in the next few days
  14. I've been meaning to buy one for my house. For the price it's a great safety measure.
  15. To be double sure you could buy a carbon monoxide detecter (its like a smoke detector) and leave it in the car with you for a while. After you're done with it you can fit it in your house. I don't think they're expensive
  16. What do you mean by "tee"ing into it? Do you add the T onto one end of the hose, or do you cut the hose in half and insert the T in there?
  17. This has happened recently to me as well. I tracked the problem down to this hose: Basically its kinda split at one end. I've temporarily solved it by using 2 clips on one end to hold it all tight. Waiting on a replacement pipe
  18. I would have thought a standard supra could be considered powerful...
