  1. good to see some-else on here from the west mids too!
  2. yea but you only really need a speedo that goes upto 70mph on uk roads of course
  3. it came with the car when i bought it, gauge goes up to 110mph, but the needle goes off the clock and the car keeps pulling Have a chat to torque imports http://www.torque-imports.co.uk to see if they know where the dial came from?
  4. so should i be worried then?? car seems to drive and pull fine with no worrying noises
  5. well being half full i thought it was low, but after asking a few questions on here, if the oil is between the L and F mark things are OK. I noticed after checking this weekend that after a 15 min drive the oil would show half full, but after being left for 2 odd hours would rise to about 3/4 full when checked again
  6. i want a gauge that reads in bar rather than psi as most people on this board use bar as a guide Those gauges look a bit dodgy too, i'd rather buy a trusted brand such as autometer for 50 quid than gamble 30 on those slightly dodgy F&F looking gauges Im considering binning the clock - what gauge size fits in there??52mm? Can you live without the clock?
  7. i kind of like the fact that my odo reads in kms make it seem unfiddled with
  8. i might be up for a blast upto the trafford centre mate
  9. my odo reads in kms and my speedo dials are in mph upto 110mph. I suspect mine is still calibrated to kms, but has a mph dial stuck on over the original dial to give an mph readout
  10. AFR gauges are a waste of time though??? Failing that i might just throw in a voltmeter to fill in the hole i think
  11. are EGT gauges easy to install on a supe?? I know on s14s you had to drill a hole into the dump pipe to fit a probe - not exactly what i call easy fit... and oil temp and pressure are a no no for me at the moment as i dont want to go the sandwhich plate route or tapping into the block - i just want something that i can easily do on a saturday afternoon
  12. The S14 sold in under 7 hours to a guy who said "he wanted to marry it" and has some big plans for it, so im glad its gone to a good home. And the supe is my daily drive! You should see me at donnington too mate
  13. My first mod on my supe will probably be the sensible option of a boost gauge to check whats going on. I quite fancy a pillar pod but can only find pillar pods with dual gauge holders. One gauge holder will obviously be for the boost gauge, but can anyone suggest another guage that is easy to install as the boost gauge for the second guage holder?? AFR gauges are pretty much useless arent they??
  14. gonna be good to see you again silvermachine!!
  15. found the headlight holders today, is a total piece of pish to get the bulbs out by the looks of it. Anyway, i just twisted the suspect holder with the lights on and behold the light came back on!!Then after a 30 mile journey from work, i switched off then switched the lights back on to find the light had gone off again Got out, twisted the holder in and out and back in again and its back on again!! Bet it isnt working 2moro morning... Deffo a job for the weekend if it goes again - at least the bulb is good
  16. good job my suspect bulb is on the passenger side then!So i just pull the holder out and presto the bulb is exposed?
  17. can you get straight to the bulb holders with no fiddling about and unscrewing stuff?
  18. the only thing that comes up in a search is that you need to buy the 9005 bulbs and file off the lugs. Is there any bulbs available off the shelf in the UK that fit in the j-spec dipped beam holder??
  19. so can anyone fill me in whats needed to be done to inspect and replace headlamp bulbs??Is it a bitch of a job or easy??
  20. I've just noticed that my front passenger dipped beam bulb has died on my j-spec tt I did a quick search on here and found that you cant just nip down halfords and buy a like for like replacement Anyone know where i can get dipped beam bulbs to fit the j-spec?? And do you have easy access to the light units to change the bulbs?

    help

im a complete autobox nooob. To start manu mode do i just press it down when in park and the begin driving in D? Is 1st gear D, 2nd gear 2 and 3rd gear L? How do you shift just press the main button on the stick in and shift down and up as if you were moving the stick from drive to neutral etc?? It is safe to shift the box when moving isnt it?? Newbie alert!!
  22. is there a warning light for low gearbox oil?
  23. Nosing around my supe today in the light i found a red oil can warning light and a yellow oil can warning light (they werent on i could just make them out through the back of the display) I presume the red one is obviously engine oil and the yellow/orange one is gearbox oil??
  24. Had a little look around my supe today and discovered a box of tricks with wires coming out of it under the passenger seat. Is this the main ECU?
