Flashed lights at one another at approx 10am

Around 9:50 this morning heading into the city. I was in similar silver Soop on opposite carriageway.

Yep, 94 TT, pretty much stock equipment. Sorry for delay in replying but I was away for the weekend. You will REALLY enjoy yourself when you collect the Soop from Jurgen. You won't believe the acceleration you get after the Corsa!

Coming off the M8 westbound? That was me. Well spotted. Were you in a Soop as well? Didn't see any others on the road. There again I had a colleague following me so I was spending most of the time looking the the rear view mirror to make sure she was still there. Cheers

Only reason I get out of bed in the morning.

Similar thing happened to me a few years back before I had the Supra. Was doing 95 in my Prelude VTEC on the M74 near Dumfries when I got pulled over. Did the very remorseful routine but was delighted to be told by plod “we are out on a training exercise today showing PC Bloggs how the job is done so there will be no further action taken”. Was rather disappointed that the radar they were using did not have a colour display, I was quite looking forward to seeing footage of the car hurtling past as in “police Camera Action”

Thanks for all of the advice guys. The tyres I have at the moment are getting pretty ancient so I think new alloys and rubber are called for.

I'm thinking of upgrading the alloys on my J-spec (16x8 front and 16x9 rear, standard Toyota types) so here goes with a couple of daft questions: Are Ripspeed at Halfrauds any good (I was thinking about them in terms of convenience as there is a store a few miles away from me)? If I went for new alloys and tyres can I fit them myself just using the jack or should they be balanced professionally? And whilst I am at it is, it usual to have 16 inch alloys on a Supra, everyone else seems to have 17 or larger Thanks
