  1. yes you can use one of your own blanking plates to put on the other car, the active spoiler has an ECU that goes with it, it is located behind the stereo. i have done some research in the active spoiler and have found a way of switching it up and down using a plain switch or the actual proper switch if thats how you want it, but if you want it to do it automatically then you will need the ECU and it also needs to be wired to the speed signal wire ect..
  2. where are you located? You have the switch that fits on the trim inside and the ECU ect i take already???
  3. The rubber bits i was on about doesnt go into the pipes, its like a sleeve that fits over the pipe and then you fit a clamp that does up tighter as you screw it, and that will make sure no air escapes, i have used it on mine and works fine, they are normally near the screws section...
  4. You can get from b & q those rubber ends that goes on the bottom of chair legs, they do different sizes and they work a treat on mine with a Oclamp for the 2 pipes that you will want to block off. And for the smaller pipe attatch a bit of rubber pipeing to it and put a long screw into the end, large enough to screw it in so it stays there.
  5. hi Paul. Yeah can you pm me a price for one of these with a hks flange on it if possible. thanks
  6. the small hose can go to the origanal one and T it and leave the stock one in, or remove the stock one, join the small hose where the stock one went and block off the 2 bigger hoses, or i think there is another location on that side of the pipe work with the HKS bov that you can take it to, not sure where but belive dude has it going to it??
  7. P.S where did you buy that from as i would like one that replaces that pipe to??
  8. dont you just take off the pipe in the pic, replace it with your new one and then just either leave the standard one in, or you can block off all 3 pipes.. Just as a matter of interest can you have one hks bov where the stock one goes and also this hks bov that replaces the origanal pipe, what would happen?? Would you set one at a different pressure setting?
  9. So are we thinking of the same job then to change this part from what Jake has said or did you have all the tools to do it??
  10. got my new part now, does anyone know how i go about fitting it?? Do i need to compress the spring to change this part?
  11. this is the description... Tanabe Hyper Medallion Exhaust Full cat back system, x2 stainless boxes and i think aluminiumised mild steel rather than stainless pipework. 70mm diameter pipework and 120mm tip. Jasma rated, so its not much louder than stock if both cats are still in. It is second hand but in very good condition.. make sense now??
  12. No both cats out and with my other old exhaust cat back that i had, which was two pipes then going back into one and joining into the back box that i have advertised on the for sale section i was getting 1.2-1.3 bar, but since replacing the cat back section for another one as one of the pipes from the old system had a whole in it i am now only hitting 0.8-0.9 bar, but im a bit confused as the cat back that i replaced it with is a singel pipe, which is larger than the old system pipes 2.75" and the tail pipe is 4.5" it seems to be such a restriction?? It is also very quiet, when i first switched my engine on i thought it wasnt running thats how quiet it is!
  13. no its not for me, as i have a tt, i had one to sell and someone asked me if it can go on a N/A,
  14. yeah thanks, i have a guage, and was going to start off with it still with the same bar reading then do a run and adjust a tad then do a run and so on till i get up to 1.2bar.
  15. thanks for that, i saw that pic but couldnt make out what is what..
  16. well im not sure, i was lead to belive that it works better than a bleed valve?? duno? Just want to install it at the moment as i was hitting 1.2 bar but since i have had a different cat back zurst i am only getting .9bar, so want to fit this and raise it again?? that right?
  17. Hi i have a manual boost controller and wondered if anyone knows how to install it? Any pics ect.. the mkiv.com isnt really how to install it i dont think as it says to do the bleeder mod first but with this i dont think you need to and just connect it up to where it says in pic?? Need to know where these pipes are.? thanks
  18. hi Just wondered if a walbro can be fitted to a N/A supra? Is it worth it? cheers
  19. oh right cheers, do you know where you can get that paint stuff from? If it dont work then maybe accidental breakage Although if you claim for windows do you loose out on your no claims bonus? As if so its not worth it really.??
  20. dont you have the option of having the turbo timer on manually so you dont have to worry about switching it on before you turn the engine off??
  21. My rear defogger has never worked since i have had the car, i actually investigated it today, i get the voltages on the spade connectors when i press in my rear defog button but still no joy, took a look at the wires that goes across the window with a avo metre and nearly all of them dont buzz from one side to the other, but it does if you get closer so looks like nealry all the tracks are blown??? Can it be fixed or hows it done?? thanks
  22. What you got, a turbine engine in there??? :D
  23. The 19"s i just put on look good at the back, but the gap on the fronts dont look right to me, what can i lower it by to look good and ride nicely?
  24. Is everyones Supra at the front seem alot higher than the back? Why is this, i have just put some new alloys on and the gap in the front is quite big compared to the back, can it just be lowerd at the front or does it have to be all round??
